Cocoon was a great movie and movies taught us lessons about humanity. We can’t be alone in the universe that’s just ignorant to think that we are the only beings that exist in our universe. The stars are as sand on the beaches of earth. I enjoyed that movie and the actors were great. Most of the movies now a days are violent or just plain fantasy’s. I love older films like Cocoon. Sad that Brian Dennehy passed away a few years ago. I always liked him as an actor.

The only thing they chose things so selfishly and some don't even care about putting love in saving lives. They would rather have more control by any means unnecessary than to give love as these aliens did in this film. It always takes a human to ruin something. They do it to a point where others have to fight or rally against just being able to have peace in their lives. Unfortunately that reason is music rights issues that even the current owner of this film (Disney) couldn’t solve anytime soon. It’s the same reason why “WKRP in Cincinnati” wasn’t released on DVD or on streaming services for years with the original music intact.
Music rights issues are so complicated to figure out that film studio library owners would rather keep the films rotting in the film vaults rather than go through the hassle of sorting out music rights for DVD and streaming releases.
