My parents have owned a home in the Golden Rectangle since the 1960s. An aspect you might mention in a future video could be about some of the practical cons of *actually living* in Carmel-by-the-Sea ...no streetlights, no sidewalks (god help you if you have to walk home from town at night and forgot your flashlight!), no address numbers (therefore no mail delivery for certain addresses, only PO Boxes) and a pretty strict town council.
Seems every week there's a story in "The Carmel Pine Cone" about some poor couple who tried to remodel, add a gate, or god forbid, cut a tree down 😱*on their own property* and not being allowed to do it. Carmel is IMO one of the most beautiful places to live on the planet but there are more cons than you mentioned for serious buyers who I feel would want to know things like that. Cheers!
