This would probably have more views if the title was changed to How to make turmeric more effective. Can turmeric cure all kinds of diseases? I don't know since I haven't had all kinds of diseases. But I'm almost 70, all the chronic conditions I had have gone away and my memory is better than ever. That last thing is amazing, considering that ALL the women in my mother's side of the family ended up with either Alzheimer's or Dementia by their 50's. I try to use turmeric as often as possible by adding it to foods that don't usually use turmeric. (I'm also cooking a lot of Asia meals.) I can now recall things I read decades ago by just reading or hearing a key word.

I have the plants, I first purchased the roots at a health store, then I noticed after three weeks some of the roots started to form sprouts, I planted them in three little pots and put them by the window, kept watering all throughout the winter...now I transplanted them in big 10 gallon pots outside in organic potting soil, now the plants are thriving and are getting bigger. I will harvest in November when the leaves turn yellow and the plants start to die.. I will keep the best roots to repeat the cycle. In good health. Cheers!

I used to suffer from sporadic crippling lower back pain. After trying everything short of surgery, including non-prescription medication, PT, heat application and narcotics, in desperation and on the advice of an herbalist, I gave turmeric a try. In a glass of tomato juice, I added a tsp of turmeric, 1/2 tsp of ginger and 1/4 teaspoon of freshly ground black pepper (although I am assured regular canned pepper works just as well). Two hours later, I was pain free. It's been 3 months now and, although I do experience occasional twinges, the condition seems to be largely under control. I continue to drink the above concoction twice a day although after seeing this video, I'm gonna start adding some nuts, seeds or avocado to the regimen. After all, you can't OD. It's just food.

I had developed tendinitis during the process of moving across the USA at the end of 2021. It surprised me because I was four years into leading a whole food plant based vegan diet at that time. Around the same time, I found out that a checker at the local grocery store also had been inflicted with the same issue, but she wasn’t a vegan and wouldn’t even consider being one. Fast forward to today, I feel completely healed of my tendinitis without any medical intervention. When I visited my old city and saw her at the grocery store, she was still complaining about the ongoing pain due to tendinitis.

I use it in the form of Golden Paste. I also have my 16 year old Minpin on it in the same form and it has helped with her arthritis and a host of other issues. I have been on it for over a year and it has changed my life for the better. I had such awful pain in my lower back I had trouble getting out of bed.
There is a lot of info about turmeric on the internet. The recipe I use is turmeric powder 1/2 C, 1 T of fresh ground black pepper and 5 T of cold pressed coconut oil. I also add fresh ground ginger and Ceylon cinnamon. You can make your own capsules (not as effective as GP), but if you can't find powdered coconut oil, then you can mix the turmeric and fresh ground black pepper and be sure to take it with a healthy oil of your choice. I take a heaping teaspoon 3 X day.
A side note: I recently had a mammogram and for years had a granulated tissue that had to be watched. It is no where to be found on the recent test. Can't prove that turmeric is the reason, but that is the only change I have made in the last year.

Rick turmeric works for different problems. Sometimes a different type of herb in capsules would work better for certain types of ailments. There are other supplements that could be used for joint pain if that is what you are suffering. For instance, MSM and SaMe are good as well as white willow. You may need to add a few other supplements to you protocol. However, sometimes it's not the supplement it is the absorption rate. I use a lot of supplements for different problems and have found that they work better when I use enzymes with them. You can get digestive enzymes at a good health food store. Try doing a good herbal cleanse first, which may take a week, and then begin your regimen again with added supplements.

Nothing new here I didn't already know. Good reminder though as I myself forget as well. In India they have known this for quite some time now where it has been used both as a common food spice as well as therapeutic medicinal root for centuries. It is commonly used in curries ('masala' or spice mixtures) for most people. However, it is often used even if only two or three spices are used with it, almost always with black pepper in conjunction, and almost always cooked in some fat- either ghee (clarified butter) or coconut oil (as is often used in South India, and other Southeast Asian cuisines). Turmeric is also used medicinally in Indonesian traditional medicine, and again, often used in cooking along with black pepper and cooked with coconut milk or coconut oil, so all that is used together. Most places where turmeric has been used traditionally often consume it with black pepper and coconut oil or some fat to cook it with. Many people who have studied other traditional medicinal systems will tell you (as traditional doctors/ healers sometimes recommend) that medicinal foods and plants/ herbs/ spices often work best if taken as food as it is absorbed by the body much easier and faster.

@@judywright6283 Yeah it increases bioavailability by 2000% because Piperine inhibits drug metabolism in the liver, meaning the curcumin (and other healthy compounds within turmeric) stay in your body longer; weird that the body by default wants to get rid of an anti-cancer substance. I wonder if black pepper effects the metabolism of recreational drugs too?

Several years ago I was experiencing pain in my knees and feet, After reading about Turmeric and it's anti inflammatory qualities I thought I would give it try. I formulated Turmeric with black pepper, cayenne pepper, ginger and cinnamon. I applied this mix to just about everything I ate and after a period of time, don't recall how long exactly, I noticed there was no pain in m feet or knees. I'm thinking it was about a month after I began using my mix that I noticed the lack of pain, not a reduced pain but no pain at all. The formulation, not scientific, was something I came up with after reading the benefits of cayenne, ginger and cinnamon along with black pepper. I'm not sure if the lack of pain is a placebo effect reading so much about Turmeric or that it actually worked, nevertheless I have no pain. After about 5 years of my dry mix application, I added this Turmeric mix to Guacamole as a spread on sandwich's, crackers or whatever I like. The avocado provides a very beneficial fat which aids in the effectiveness of Turmeric. There has been no scientific research on my mix but I have to say I have no pain after using my Turmeric mix.

I'm glad you included the addition of piperine. There have been studies which support its effectiveness, and in the incredible amount as in your video. This of course is under the microscope, though there is some epidimiological evidence from southern india where pepper is combined with T and breast cancer rates are said to be low. The first relationship between piperine and T that i came across was in the book Foods To Fight Cancer by Beliveau and Gingras, 2 microbiologists at the Uni of Montral. This was in 2005. Thanks.

Thanks for this information on turmeric. I've been taking supplemental theracumin, which is made from curcumin (I think it's ground up to 'nano' sized particles, which are supposed to cross the blood - brain barrier), all to no useful effect. But with what I've learned today, next time I go to the city, I'll see about getting a big bag of turmeric and experiment with adding it to my diet.
I have diabetic peripheral neuropathy, and it's been progressing to the point where I can barely function because of the severe pain. I've been treating it with Gabapentin, which does help a lot to sort of make it all go numb for a while, but I really want to try to reverse the condition. So I've been making raw veggie slaws lately, and find that they can be very enjoyable, especially with the right dressing. So after watching your video, I'm asking myself if I might benefit from adding turmeric, along with the oily (fat) dressing. I suppose it couldn't hurt in any case.
By the way, you have a lovely voice. I could listen to you narrate videos all day! Thanks again.

Yes it was the real way how to get effective the curcumin in our health. In Philippines we consume turmeric as additives in cooking food such as chicken curry with coconut milk, with yellow ginger, 1 teaspoonful of turmeric, hot red chili, whole green chili as a vegetable, roasted potato cherry with still the skin crunchy, lemon grass, garlic, red union and new crushed black pepper. Eat it with red or brown rice which is organic because it was planted in mountain or high land not in the irrigated field and no fertilizer (it will be more less of sugar), more in fiber and less carbohydrates. A simple Filipino high land farmer can still work in farms until in the age of 80-100 because of their non fatty and more organic food. And the best thing is, once they're working in ground, consuming energy, they are in foot if possible an hour at least everyday to get the grounding system to release bad electrons of the body, more effective to the brain, skin, organs to work out plus the sweating that causes by burning fats, it helps the liver to clean the blood in more effective way, simple lifestyle.

I started eating raw Turmeric, not peeled or grated , but a piece about the size of an Acorn, with 4 or 5 Black Peppercorns, just chew it up and swallow, and the benefits have been really noticeable in just over 10 days. It doesn't taste too bad, bit earthy and very peppery , but just swoosh it down with water !
