- These cars with the 2.5 motor have limited working space compared to the older 2.0 models. The single fan has an integrated control module. There is no thermoswitch that threads into the radiator like other VW/Audi models.
I have replaced the ect and my fan is on high I don't know what else to replace what should I do because even when I start the car cold my fan is still work on high volume what do you think ?? please its urgent
Question...does the 2007 beetle 2.5 have the same Ac Fan relay as the 2.0L if so where is the relay located on the 2.5L can you help pleasw
HOw do you tell it overheats ? 09's have a gauge ?? my 06 just has a cold temp....my garage said the fans were not coming, they said just fan control module,
any change you can reach the fan control module while leaving the fenders etc all on ? I have taken that all off twice now !! Do the water pump while you are in there, it is PLASTIC...I put in a metal one...
The 2009 do not have a temp gauge. The car was overheating after long periods of driving in late summer. The fan did not operate when the AC switch was turned on, so that was my first clue. The module in integrated into the fan assembly. I replaced it all, and working OK.
Yuck.
My fan doesn't kick on when my a/c is switched on, so my a/c doesn't cool very well at idle
What is the silver tube/hose running side to side in front of the radiator? My 07 2.5 hose is leaking some time of fluid and doesn’t smell like coolant or power steering fluid.
trans cooler line more than likely.
