Knex Braid Pattern. Knex Braider

Knex braid pattern. Powered by one knex motor. One cycle consists of four stages; 1) platform rotation, 2) left push, 3) platform rotation, 4) right push. This unit no longer exists due to parts being needed for a clock project. The next phase would have been a spooler to collect the braid. This video is from late 2013.

So cool, just one motor wow. Well done! I want to try and make a calculator or something similar which does calculations.

Thanks! The braider was a fun project while it lasted. I actually built a single-motor 3-bit binary adder that lasted for about a week; I never got any video of it though. It was basically the same mechanism as the other adder I built (in another video on the channel) but positioned vertically so the reset occurred automatically due to gravity.
