The Russian doll (a better one), the old clocks, the western figurines, the watches, the vintage Christmas items, your stunning excitement (😉) etc. etc. So, if the price was right, this means big bucks for Tony and you. And: no cleanout work to do which creates a perfect szenario ! 👍 I think this was a quite wealthy household which has seen much better times back in the days. It is taking everything I have within me to not grab a broom and sweep the floor as I move boxes! The "cleanout" mentality is still there. I did allow myself to start making trash bags so I wouldn't be stepping over dusty, broken fake flower arrangements or blocks of floral foam. I'm sure that the broom will come out eventually too! Always a pleasure helping Tony out on these jobs. A learning experience as I learn about the items that we find and I get to keep some boxes of things for myself, or for me to resell. A clean house, no smelly foods, running water - a dream! Though I still do enjoy the older, dusty homes... minus any rodents and possibly exploding hot dogs :0)
I love it when you find old Marx Toys like Johnny West as my Grandma worked at Marx Toys and I had them all growing up! Sure does bring back some great memories......thank you for that! Great video as always!

I think they moved all the cool stuff that should have been in the last cleanout house to this one. This seems to have at least two houses' worth. Funny to imagine a time when having an ornamental lighter was necessary for entertaining. That cabinet is similar to the one at the recent auction that went for $35 - but you should get way more than that. The Mission / Morris chair at about 7:30 ought to be a good seller too. Hard to believe all the stuff they left - vintage & antique toys with boxes. I laughed at the devil talking to the angel with no head - I guess the devil prevailed in that discussion. I suppose it could be the Old "Time" House given all those watches but I think someone welcome up with something more appropriate. Whatever it's called, it looks like money to me! Great eye on the chair! Tony is really excited about that chair as well. There is another really nice chair, but I think I missed filming it because it's somewhat hidden behind a door. I was hoping that the angel's head would have been in the glass bowl that I found the piece in, but nowhere to be found! Poor little angel, the devil got the best of her! Not sure what the family took or what had been walking its' way out the door over the last few months. If the items left are what they didn't want, can you imagine what they took?! Of course, our view of what is great could be and probably is completely different from what they like. Working at this house has me all confused on what day it is, and it's only the beginning of the week!

I don’t necessarily read the names of the commenters but I’m now at the point I can recognize styles of writing from a few “regulars” and you are one of those. I started reading yours today without reading the name and before I got very far I said to myself “ this sounds like @stephenritz5581. Sure enough. They have such a great look and such a loud ring. I had a Jane West and her horse and my friend had Jane, Johnny, horse, etc. So much fun. With all the clocks and the stuff NIB it's a bit of a Time Capsule House. I wish I could have some opportunities like this. I've never been afraid to work.

I haven't seen a sale or cleanout like this in at least 15 years out here. That one of two weeks ago was about the closest I have come recently.
We go from the $1 Store Home to this! Who knows what will come next! I'm excited for you about that upcoming sale that you'll be going to. It's like counting down to Christmas, I'm sure!
That "big sale" occurred last weekend, I believe I told you about what I came home with: The two neat Victor portable phonographs, a model 50, from 1920, and an RCA Victrola suite case style from 1935, some Victor Records and of course that too cute fr-g transistor radio! The main body of stuff was old radio parts and misc stuff. The house contents was almost all items and furniture from the 1980-2000 eras. I did not go to that part of the sale, as I viewed the contents on line. I paid $165 for the things i purchased...those portable Victrolas are a prize!@@PaperandMoose
Definitely a picker's dream. Keep looking, through everything - especially in bedroom drawers and in the bathroom. I went to one family estate sale and was told "no jewelry"...only to find a 14k chain in a pile of junk by the fireplace. I'll take the $1 junk chain that scrapped for $40 any day. I'd been there once and went back later; the box wasn't there the first time! 06:20 Dunno about jade, but the lion is solid stone. The guitar is an oldie with that tailpiece. The watch box...somebody's going to have fun. 09:09 the doggie is worth a bit too. Use the sheets and towels for packing and later donation to an animal shelter?
I had Johnny West, and Thunderbolt. That would of been mid to late 60's. The hours i played with them! My older sister had Barbie, not the first one, but the second one. I later got Skipper and Midge. My brother had GI Joe. Many times I would have Johnny and Joe rescuing the girls, and riding of into the sunset. Lol

Looks like another awesome treasure hunt. I think the pumpkin pail you found is actually one of the original blow mold pumpkins. It was a little hard to tell from the video but if the plastic is a little thinner to the touch and a bit wider in the body you may have a good thing there.
Golly! What a great video of an incredible wonderland of treasure - and it's not even Christmas! I'd feel like I'd never want to go home until I'd checked one more box, and then another ... and maybe one more! Those watches - wow. I'd found out kind of recently that even if they're not gold, some watches can be worth big bucks. I'd brought one, that I had lying around the house, to the jeweler's to get the crystal replaced. I guess it was my father's and figured it would be a good knock-around watch to do work around the house or play ball with. I guess I won't after the guy said it was like a few hundred dollar watch. Got home and checked it out on eBay and, yup, it sure was. The maker is Croton, and I mention that as it looks like some of the ones that were in the treasure trove that you'd found and surprised Tony with. I'm crazy busy with work, so I've regrettably missed more than a few of your videos. Today was the first one I'd caught in some time. I think with that headlamp, you can adjust the brightness by pressing/holding down the power button. The button next to that is a motion detector sensor. When that button is activated, you can then turn the light on and off by just waving your hand in front of that sensor. I have one like that and they're basically all the same ... great for working underneath the car or checking out the works in my furnace - or looking for goodies in cubbyholes of attics!!! Thanks for the awesome video. I'm know that I'll have a lot of fun in watching all of the ones that I haven't yet seen!

My mother's best friend was an accomplshed artist, They were friends for scores of years, so I had many of her paintings here at home after they both passed away, . Since she was award winner, I donated a really nice picture to our Butler Co. PA Heritage Association. That could be an idea for just the right thing from your household finds. I am eagerly awaiting more exploration on your current clean out!
Tony was right! Holy What a great house to clean out! Any rotting food smells from the kitchen? ;-) Actually, it looked very nice. I hope the records are good ol’ Rock or Jazz and not the usual Lawrence Welk, Mantovani, Sing Along with Mitch, etc, that you usually find in house clean outs. Best of Luck!

In the closet where you found the native American toys, the cast iron stand is a dictionary stand. You probably know that and tbey are very expensive in antique srores. That place is a dream!!!

The drawback on getting alot of good resellable stuff is where to store it! How are you going to store it till it sells? Would you consider renting out a storage unit? Another thing is how are you two going to split/divide the stuff for selling? Can't wait for the next vid on this cleanout!

I'd found out kind of recently that even if they're not gold, some watches can be worth big bucks. I'd brought one, that I had lying around the house, to the jeweler's to get the crystal replaced. I guess it was my father's and figured it would be a good knock-around watch to do work around the house or play ball with. I guess I won't after the guy said it was like a few hundred dollar watch. Got home and checked it out on eBay and, yup, it sure was. The maker is Croton, and I mention that as it looks like some of the ones that were in the treasure trove that you'd found and surprised Tony with. I'm crazy busy with work, so I've regrettably missed more than a few of your videos. Today was the first one I'd caught in some time. I think with that headlamp, you can adjust the brightness by pressing/holding down the power button. The button next to that is a motion detector sensor. When that button is activated, you can then turn the light on and off by just waving your hand in front of that sensor. I have one like that and they're basically all the same ... great for working underneath the car or checking out the works in my furnace - or looking for goodies in cubbyholes of attics!!! Thanks for the awesome video. I'm know that I'll have a lot of fun in watching all of the ones that I haven't yet seen!

My mother's best friend was an accomplshed artist, They were friends for scores of years, so I had many of her paintings here at home after they both passed away, . Since she was award winner, I donated a really nice picture to our Butler Co. PA Heritage Association. That could be an idea for just the right thing from your household finds. I am eagerly awaiting more exploration on your current clean out!

That is a fabulous Johnny West find. I have small bits and pieces from that doll. I had a Jane West doll.
Our daughter ordered a nesting doll from Russia to give us as a gift, it cost over $200 and that did not include shipping!

In the closet where you found the native American toys, the cast iron stand is a dictionary stand. You probably know that and tbey are very expensive in antique srores. That place is a dream!!!
I believe they said it came from a church, or at least that’s what they were told. Perhaps they used it to hold a Bible instead of a dictionary 🙂
