Oh George, oh George, you were the BEST!!!!! Always sounds like he lived every word of the songs he sings!
Yes,he made you believe he was going through every word of his songs
@@marilynglazier9794 he really did live through it
You know he did many life times over,, r.i.p Mr Jones.
There will never be anyone who can bend it like that puts chilks all over the king of country music
I'll never forget all the times I would buy a new Jones album, I would leave the record store with a new Jones tape or CD, and I would literally drive around aimlessly in my car listening until I had heard every song on the album, the tiny hairs on the back of my neck standing at attention the whole time- I'd get those chills that would rush from your head to your toes every time that Jones magically and perfectly twisted a note- the way he would go from baritone to tenor (and everything in-between) in the same dag-gone breath... Hell, I'm getting a chill just thinking about it! It was always so perfect and you would think that it just couldn't possibly get any better than what you just heard... but then you would go to see the possum live, and he would do the damn song even BETTER!!!! George Jones was just simply unbelievable and there will never ever be another like him! Saddest part, the man himself didn't think he was any good :-( ...I'm certain that he was the ONLY human being on earth that thought that!
No doubt about it Jones was the absolute greatest of them all and it really isn't even close.
it was around this time (mid 90's) that i got to see him perform with kitty wells. i was so glad i finally got to see him live before we lost him. a true legend

Bryan Ferry I saw you and Klunkets conversation about his museum of all the country legends... and I haven’t seen a comment from him in a while, I hope he’s doing good because these videos are amazing and I hope he won’t stop posting them!
Ashton Humphrey no, neither have I unfortunately. I hope he's doing fine... I haven't spoken much to him since then either. Hopefully he'll be back sometime soon, I love to see his George posts also. By the way, if you have Instagram then please feel free to follow my George Jones page. The username is @georgejonesfanatic if you're interested. :-)
Guy check out james carothers he does George Jones justices
You can see George was still hurting inside and thinking of Tammy RIP legends
I can't understand why people think that George Jones was still in love with Tammy, because he wasn't he said himself their marriage was really just about the music, George loved his wife Nancy of 30 years and if it hadn't been for Nancy we would have lost him long before we did, Nancy stuck with George through thick and thin the first 15 years of their marriage was a lot of hell and the rest of it was a lot of love they both said that, so get over it Tammy Wynette lovers he did not love her anymore he loved his wife Nancy so there
Well saf
