The same man that sung George Jones’ “Choices” when the jerks in charge of air time told Jones to cut the song short. Alan Jackson was top of the charts at the time so he was allowed to sing for as long as he wanted. He stopped his own song halfway through to sing Choices and left the stage immediately after. The guy has balls of steel and an incredible amount of reverence for George Jones. There couldn’t have been a better pick for this song
Only Alan Jackson could do this song. I remember watching this. My Mama used to love this song. She went to heaven August 21, 2021. Now she & my Daddy are reunited with Jesus in heaven... 🙏🏻✝️🕯️🕯️
One of the last great true country music stars paying tribute to the late great George Jones which will always be my favorite artist....Your contribution and influence is immeasurable George.
So impressive when singers can pay such a beautiful tribute to their idols. Not sure how he can hold it together while singing such an emotional song in such an emotional setting. Such strength and a man of character!! Very well done.
It warms my heart when I read all these wonderful comments about this great singer. I'm old enough to remember the true country singers of so long ago, like Hank Snow, who never gets enough credit for the songs he recorded in his life. Alan Jackson, to me, is up there with the best of these old-time, true country singers. He certainly is a gift to people like me who love and remember the country singers of so long ago. I may be old, but not dead - he's one good-looking guy too, so always a pleasure to watch him sing.

I was a child at the Missouri State Fair wondering around with my sister (just 2 years older), when we heard this wonderful voice from the Budweiser tent. A skinny blonde kid that my sister thought was a good looking guy. Turned out to be Alan Jackson, before he was famous. We sat outside that area listening until he stopped playing songs. Comments like this are priceless, Thank you, it's nice meeting you here. Thank you John God bless you
Alan Jackson. One of my favorites. He is the only one that could pull this off. Almost as good as good as George. This could be about my first love 50 years ago. 72 now and still think of her. But I love my wife of 50 years and the beautiful children and grandchildren she gave me. Just nothing like that first love.

My highest respect to,Mr.Alan Jackson. Beautifully done, Sir. I honestly believe, Mr. George Jones would be proud that you did this song in memory. God Bless you.
When I want to cry, I come here - to hear Alan Jackson sing this song. Weep, let it all out. Let that voice and those words wash over me. Such a wonderful tribute to George Jones.
Thanks for your continuous love and support ❤
I found this today on RUclips. What a great and touching tribute to the great George Jones. Thank you Alan Jackson for this wonderful tribute.

Looking at the crowd in the room it was jam packed full of people many of georges friends many of his loyal fans were in that building image what it would be like to be there to see this live in front of you
Hello,how are you doing today
The same man that sung George Jones’ “Choices” when the jerks in charge of air time told Jones to cut the song short. Alan Jackson was top of the charts at the time so he was allowed to sing for as long as he wanted. He stopped his own song halfway through to sing Choices and left the stage immediately after. The guy has balls of steel and an incredible amount of reverence for George Jones. There couldn’t have been a better pick for this song
I Guess you're a country MUSIC lover?
Thank you Great information 🌻

@Hello there, how are you doing this blessed day?
This was played at my nieces funeral last week . 😢 past of crohn's diease . Age 31
My condolences.
Such a difficult song to sing just as the song itself, nevermind the emotion of the moment. Such a terrific job
Hi how are you?
Alan Jackson - such a class act. An incredible singer - with a career that only a handful of country singers, including George Jones, can match.
I just recently started listening to Josh Turner. MY GOODNESS I'VE BEEN MISSING OUT!❤
Hello ❤❤😊
So impressive when singers can pay such a beautiful tribute to their idols. Not sure how he can hold it together while singing such an emotional song in such an emotional setting. Such strength and a man of character!! Very well done.
One of the greats , and one of the greatest of all time ...Folks .!!!🌹
I hope you enjoyed the song as well ???!!!!

What a lovely tribute to George Jones.....beautiful.....RIP George.
I am a fan I think your great.
That looked like the hardest song he ever had to sing. Love Alan Jackson, love George Jones, love that good old country music. ❤️
You should see the tribute he did for Jimmy Buffet. He wouldn’t take off his sunglasses and you could tell he was crying in his voice ❤️

@@jameslawson7336 I'm doing fine today, James - the day my family comes over to visit me. Love my Saturdays. Hope you're doing okay too. We country music lovers, especially Alan Jackson fans, should be friends with each other, since how many today have even heard the likes of Hank Snow or Kitty Wells! With the exception of a few years my husband was in the Navy, we gave a kiss to each other and said,"I love you" for 66 years and 58 days. He passed, at home, from lung cancer,January 28, 2023. Best husband, man, provider and father of three children, six grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. There are times I still feel that kiss. I miss him more than words can say.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful memories of your husband. The love you both had for 66 years and 58 days is truly inspiring. It's heartwarming to know that you still feel his presence and the love you shared.
Losing someone so special is incredibly hard, and it’s okay to miss him deeply. Hold onto those cherished moments and the legacy of love he left in your family.
Thinking of you during this difficult time.❤❤❤❤
And the one song that was the most near and dear to our hearts was "REMEMBER WHEN". I still remember my husband calling me out to hear that song the first time. We both cried when we first heard that song to the last time. And...I still do. Thank you. You have been a miracle in the making. 😍🙏
@@joannrinear8388 Thank you for sharing such a touching memory! "Remember When" is indeed a beautiful song that captures the essence of love and memories. Please know that you're not alone in your feelings, and it's okay to continue to feel that connection through the music you both cherished., How are you doing today❤❤❤❤
How can ANYONE not cry hearing this rendition, whether
or NOT we like the genre? George Jones , the very BEST.
Wasn't until "Chatahoochie" that we mad the connection. What a man, what an example, what a career.
Hello there, how're you doing today....??
George would be so proud of alan for doing this! Only alan could do it right!
Hello Donna, how're you doing today??
My husband Jimmy and I went to see George Jones at the Ector County Coliseum in Odessa, Texas in the 90's. I was an Anniversary present from me to him.
Hey how are you doing today…?
It took a heck of a man to sing at the funeral of someone he thought so much of and loved him dearly. No one could do it like Alan Jackson.
So sorry for the infringe on your privacy. Beautiful song. How are you?
That was perfectly done, Mr. Jackson. 😭
I can't imagine how hard it was for you to sing this song on this day but what a great job you did and I'll bet old George was smiling wherever he was. You were a great friend to him. Thanks for the very moving tribute!
Hello Darlene how are you doing today?
Putting myself into Allan's boots , I know I couldn't hold myself together to get through this song . I have lost my best life time friend lately and I couldn't get up to the mike to honour my friend let alone sing his favourite song . I know exactly how Allan felt as he honoured his dear friend . Total respect, from an 80 year old country fan .
Could have been a more appropriate song picked.
Alan did such an amazing job, don't know how he held it all together with 🎉❤❤❤😂😮
Peace and love always❤❤❤❤❤❤
That’s how long I’ll love Alan Jackson and him singing His beautiful Country Music.

I have mad respect for you Mr. Jackson for keeping your composure and singing this song perfectly as you did..I know you and George had a bond that was unbreakable and I remember how you went to bat for him with the song Choices on stage that time.
