I remember watching this with my Dad when it aired. We spent the night talking about the various artists he got to see live in the 1950s and 60s. Hank Sr., Hank Thompson, marty Robbins, Buck Owens several times, Merle Haggard... Country Gold all of them
That’s one of my favorites, The window up above, George wrote it. Uncle Kracker covered it and did it justice, he said growing up his daddy played George. I’m so glad the good lord blessed us to have him our lives, and we can still listen
@@ZaxvidZ the Good Ones always have Good bands .the bass player he had in late 80 s ,90 s was very good too . did great harmonies , Ron Gaddis was his name . Johnny Gimble is legend .this gitar player is hot too .
@@ZaxvidZ ah Gaddis must have played with somebody before George cuss he was pretty polished rite from the start, as far as i know he left to a solo carrier ,i believe he is deceased . Johnny GIMBLE PLAYED WITH Willie FOR 8 ? YEARS IN THE 70 S . HE PLAYED SESSION WITH A LOT OF PEOPLE BEFORE THAT , I THINK . he was defenitely established before joining Willie . i dont know this gitar player that im aware of .
That guitar player is smoking! So is Johnny Gimble on the fiddle, the steel everyone perfect, stellar performance. God how I loved and still do love George, I’ve seen this before but not on this channel. May 2024 still listening and loving you George. The master of country music. GOAT Thank you, so much for posting the color is vivid and clear, I’ve watched this on other channels, this is great

the best Country Singer on the best Music Show .
I knew a guy in Alabama that George used to come stay for weeks at a time .His family still has one of George's tour buses.
That's love!
Who ever that harmony singer playing bass was really made those songs pop. They never get the credit they deserve..
Funny when the background keeps the show going
