Whenever I see a battery inside a vehicle it reminds me of the time when I was in college working at a tire store my dad managed during the summer, and a man zoomed into the parking lot and jumped out of his Corvette, saying that his battery inside the car has just exploded. Sure enough, it blew the top off and splashed acid all over the floor. We cleaned it up and sold him a new battery. He was lucky since the floor was made out of fiberglass, so the acid couldn't attack it. I was lucky that the store never did a lot of brake jobs because that was before the danger of asbestos was widely recognized. Back then, they used to blast the brake parts clean with 175 psi compressed air, sending a cloud of asbestos everywhere.
I figure I spent an extra $4k on my 2016 Prius c Two, compared to the closest Yaris configuration. Money well-spent, in my opinion (though Yaris is also a fine vehicle for people who drive less).
@@aliendroneservices6621 When i got my Yaris, I considered the Prius C but it cost more and the risk of the expensive battery going bad made me think i'll give up the extra MPG instead, besides on the highway you don't really see the savings like you do in city driving.
I replaced the 12v battery. And unlocked the orange hybrid service tab. I replaced it all and put everything back. The screen says “Check Hybrid system, Stop vehicle and park immediately.” What do I do now? I still can’t start it

A Yaris on steroids

Thank pete
I can't get the plugs out... looking for that, thanks for your generosity
Thanks for the great video Peter .. just curious .. is the aux battery really a standard flooded battery or is it AGM battery similar to other Prius ?
Petr, This Prius c has more headroom than the new Prius. They need to bring back the Prius C or bring over the 65+ mpg Yaris Hybrid.
Yes, but it's 46 mpg-combined here with US gallons and US driving. (Any car can be hypermiled to any arbitrary mpg.)
Thank you Peter. 👍
Prius c. Most reliable car ever made.
You know where it is?
