I'm from CT and had never heard of Falls Village. I guess it actually just a part of the town of Canaan. Thanks for coming to Connecticut, we're having a sale on Birkenstocks next week, lol.
I am enjoying your vlogs. I like the way you are taking in all the side trail views, looks like your having a lot of fun.I had to evacuate SC for the hurricane - Have friends in Bristol Tn. Never been on the trail, but I was close so a took some gear and did about thirty miles. Since I had nobody to pick me up I hiked in then back tracked out. This was in the Laurel Falls and Watauga Lake area. I only lost a toe nail, lol. I know now how tough the ups and downs are, slippery roots are worst. My question to you - I had little problems with legs, feet and knees, I do work out three days a week, my issues had to do with my breath. I notice you hardly breath hard at all. Is this something that comes with miles? Are you a marathon runner? I am considering a thru hike attempt next spring, not sure I can do it at my age (65).
Thanks Chris aka Slim. I'm sure you have finished by now and let me be the first to congratulate you. Thanks for your time and the quick response. I think with some extra time to do it I could finish before it snows in Maine. How about any injuries for you? You never comment on that subject. Are you planning on doing the PCT and CDT, be a triple crown man? If so I will one of your followers. I have watched some PCT vlogs and the views are spectacular.
great video Chris. thanks
Enjoyed that one!! Beautiful trail.
Wow, I just learned that the AT passes a mile from Lime Rock Park (race track) at 3:01. I haven't been there in over 15 years.

+Kirk Ridgely I'm not a marathoner. I guess I have good lung capacity. I met thru-hikers in their sixties on the AT.

+Kirk Ridgely Thanks. Luckily, no injuries. Both of those trails look nice. Maybe one day.
