I did not mean it literally. Goat apostle was heavily inspired by capra demon(like almost every character/monster). Demon/Dark Souls/Bloodborne are just playable Berserk games ;)

There is something about seeing Guts cleave mobs of victims in half that is just plain awesome/fascinating for some reason. Whenever I watch Berserk, the scenes where Guts just destroys enemies are the parts I like the most.
It's sad, in some moments Berserk 2016 has some really well done scenes with the 2D/CG artwork but for the most part, every other scene looks really really bad.

The animation for that part was really great too, really emotive and you could FEEL the urgency in guts' mad dash to save casca. too bad the rest of the anime couldn't follow suit.

This is a good scene, the camera angles were thought out and the CG was effective. My only gripe with this anime is the depiction of facial emotions on the characters.

Because it is unfinished yet... Some great masterpieces are not popular in their publish era,... the reason is obvious: if a producer makes an adaption, they have to make sure that the content will be consistent, otherwise the disaster of quality downfall would happen, such as Game of thrones season 8.

After watching all of the episodes i realize that the ultimate worst problem with the CG models is the eyes, there is just no emotion on anyone's eyes through all the series, they would use a different set of eyes for some characters (like serpico or isidro) but they are just expresionless, look at Casca in this is scene, in the manga her face went from confusion to fright and it shows, here if it wasnt because of her voice, you wouldnt even see the change of emotions, same with Guts, he looks perpetually annoyed, not angry or violent, just annoyed. with the teaser for season 2 you can see that they did not fix this and still gonna be terrible except for some fight scenes and the sparce 5second 2D animation.
one of my biggest gripes with the anime besides the lackluster cgi is how much they toy with the camera. you dont always need to move it around every damn second!

It's like expecting a sledgehammer to sound like that. Only the Dragonslayer is about twenty sledgehammers. And edged. And yet somehow it sounds like a frying pan when slicing through flesh? What a joke.
The anime has its faults; just look at their expressions ! But, I'll admit that the "clang" sound of the Dragonslayer is kinda sorta fitting, since it's described in the manga & anime simply as a slab of iron
That shot at 2:29 panning from Isidro to Guts thundering over the edge is one of the best in the show. Captures the sheer badassery of the moment from the manga.
I.. I just want a decent adaption of the entire Berserk manga. Yes this scene is good, but it’s one of the very few in this adaptation. Why do they keep going for that weird CGI style in all the new adaptions? Even the movies had a good bit in them, but at least the movies were watchable. Even though they just repeated the Golden Age arc again which was already done in the 90s. I couldn’t even watch this whole thing. You would think one of the most iconic mangas of all time would have a complete animated adaption by now.. you would think.
Ok, two cool moments here: That brief shot of Puck rushing through the tunnel at 2:15 and the camera flow at 2:57. Outside of that, this whole thing looks like ass, and Miura-sensei deserved better.
So yeah, this scene's amazing as fuck. People criticize this show for several reasons, and some of them are completely justified, but you cannot deny that they just NAILED that entrance. Fucking hell, it's glorious.
This ending literally made me gasp with my mouth held wide. I did not expect them to make such a beautiful homage to that amazing shot of Guts and Caska. Like, simply beautiful. I love Berserk 2016. I love it even in its crude form. I love it because it loves us. We shouldn't be so cruel to the things that aim to bring us joy... They didn't have to do that... To be so self-aware of what we were looking for. They are so limited. They would do more if they could... The Blu-ray's prove as much... So how could we reject something with as much heart and soul as this... It fills me with such warmth, that after almost two decades... That people out there sought to bring us this. That we weren't forgotten. That they loved us. The next time you hear someone complain about cg, or this and that... Try to remember this moment. It remembered you.

I love the manga as a sprawling epic, the 97 series as a character study, the movies as badass action movies, and the new series like a cheesy B movie. It's far from great, but damn if they aren't trying.
