What an excellent comparison video. This guys comments were very clear to understand and highly informative. The other Ring Doorbell comparison vides just rambled on and the speaker never provided their recommendation.
Hey we know its a Ring wired and Ring Pro 2! As for the lighting, its called backlighting, the subject is standing in there own shadow. how many times did he say Ring?
My house has three doors, A front door and a side door and a patio door. Can I at least get 2 Ring doorbells , 1 for the front door and 1for the side door and have them wired up to the house chime and to our phones, So we can know if someone is ringing the front door or side door?
There are two major problems with the Ring Pro 2 that you do not address. I don’t know about the Ring 4: When the doorbell is pressed the system then starts to process the associated video. This means that a second press is not effective (i.e. no second ring) until video processing is completed about one minute later. This problem has been reported multiple times by many users and Ring have failed to respond with a fix or even recognised that it is a problem. There is a good 10 second delay between the doorbell being pressed and any video being available on any device. This means that a visitor is usually long gone before the video becomes available, especially an amazon delivery man. These two issues, especially taken together are major flaws with the system.
@@robertrose3068 I could not wait and the price of the Ring basic wired dropped from $60 to $42, so I got it and installed it already! love it. maybe next Xmas I will get the Pro2.
@@robsanchez5742 I got the Ring Wired too, but sseing the Pro 2 compared to it and how its better, I decided to switch. I'm still within return period on the Wired at Lowe's. I wish stores had the Pro 2 but didn't see any.
That was great. If you have a baby sleeping or you are a night shift person you can avoid the door bell going off and disturbing you and the dogs with both models. Also if you live in area where there are thieves that steal these Ring doorbells, it is much better to lose $60 vs $250. They should add a code that locks the device? I would just paint the face paint to match my trim, is it a paintable face plate?
Great video but I'd rather go with the wired and besides everyone is wearing masks now a days .I'm too lazy to swap out batteries. Set it and forget it.
@@abit5295 oooooh crap! I bought the black camera bc I saw the install video that he did. I don’t like the video from the black camera. If I knew the gray camera was also hardwired with better quality video I would of went with quality over price. I’ll just swap it out when I see a great deal on one. Thanks for the info.
I don't understand why the wired door bell does nothing to do with the house door bell if it's wired. Thanks, not getting the ring system no matter what just cause there is better out there for the money
Agreed because Amazon just wants to upsell on everything. You basically get a useless Ring wired device unless you buy other stuff or spend a lot more on their other devices.
Your explanation of the difference between the two ring doorbells is the best for me. Thanks 👍🏽

Thank you for the video. I just found your channel and I love it. Great reviews.
Can the ring pro 2 be installed on your back patio as a standalone setup?

11/4/21 After watching this video, I went to Amazon to buy the Pro 2. The delivery date listed is January 3rd!
I just ordered and it said Jan 5th-15th.
Did you happen to already get yours?

Is the Ring Pro 2 still a good choice without the subscription?
The wired doorbell works great. Just picked one up last week.
Thanks to you, I’ve made my decision. Great video with excellent details!
In your opinion if I live in a condo built in 1977 do you think the transformer is strong enough
Thats weird. I just bought a house with wired Ring Doorbell and it works with the doorbell’s chime.
How
I got the 2021 ring doorbell is there a way I can keep using my old chime in the house without disabling it?
Yes, replace the transformer on your old chime with a 24v to 30v. They are available on Amazon for about $30.
Great video! Very helpful thank you.
Great video!
Glad you enjoyed it
Also:
Ring Pro 2 has much better Frame-rate. No review has mentioned this.
Excellent job!
Thankyou

Ring doorbells have a lifetime promise to replace stolen doorbell devices… so… it’s a non issue
i bought ring wired for 10 usd on prime day with echo show 8(all for 75 usd)
Great explainer. Thanks.
Ring wired does support memory card?
It seems like the Ring Pro 2 has a poorer camera.

Both of the cameras are wired on this video.

Pro 2 doesn’t have battery ….
