maybe the mother did not want her daughter to sleep on the floor? i am going to be a mother soon (to a baby girl) and would like to think that i would prioritise my children. unless there was a health reason as to why i could not sleep on the floor, i would rather my daughter sleep in comfort.

A person with a an annual household income of 9 lakhs, 3 dependants, no loans, is richer than a person with an annual household income of 15 lakhs, 5 dependents, and a home loan. Most Indians are poor. And most Indians who call themselves upper middle class can actually afford a hell lot of things most Indians can't. Don't forget that most of India's income belongs to a small percentage of people and the rest of it is distributed amongst majority of the population. Just type "What is rich in India" and you'll get articles from 2020 and 2021 that'll explain everything :)
