This and your R&R upper radiator hose videos are the best ever! And thanks for the Hanes manual recommendation too. I'm a 68yo Black female and because of your DIY video, I changed my 2009 radiator hose (with help of some "man hands" 😊to remove metal clip, etc) and saved myself $200+. Your videos are a GODsend! Oh, and thanks for the tool recommendations.
Hope you know the mount on pass side has oil in it! The cheap ones don't' but the good ones do. I ordered all 3 mounts for my son's 2007 focus 140.00 //
@@kevinkollman9162 @SouthernBlessedHomestead do you need to put a jack under anything for the passenger side mount? My girls car vibrates like crazy and I’ve been suggesting the mounts have gone bad.
ramps work the best I have been working on the focus since 04 cant tell you how many on them I have changed they don't even make the pass side mount anymore in OEM only aftermarket
I really need to get another good set of ramps, I have totally lost mine. I think I loaned them out and never saw them again. I no longer have this car, last October I got T Boned in the drivers door insurance totaled it.
First time working on my own car and I have one of these generation Focus. This has been really informative and I shall let you know how I get on! My vibration isn't as bad as yours however it's working it's way to that level! Mine is the 5 speed manual.

@@SouthernBlessedHomesteadSomething that North America doesn't have really unless its a VW, Merc or a truck. We're all about the diesel in the UK. Little 1.4, 1.5 and 1.6 diesel engines with 6 speed all over the place doing 80 MPG (65 UK MPG, apparently they are different sizes lol).

Thank you for specifying the size!!! First video that I've seen that goes into a lot of detail on the size of them. Also, I had to do the same exact thing with my battery case. Apparently that's fairly common with what little research I've done.
Hey brother! Thanks so much for taking the time to put this out into the world! Some details here really saved me from blindly tackling the replacement. Hows your car running now, if I may ask?
Thank you for such an easy video to follow. My wife's 2008 focus is vibrating badly so sure we need to have this done. Where do you recommend buy parts? Thanks again!
Thank you for th helpful video. As far as naming right or left, it’s always better to call them right of car or left side of car where the steering wheel goes. Just a suggestion.
I honestly had very little difficulty attaching the passenger motor mount. I used a hefty flathead to pry the old one off and a hammer, a sledgehammer and a piece of wood to hammer the piece in place. I was concerned but it was easy 😎👍
@@SouthernBlessedHomestead just did that one yesterday. The hardest one for me as well. That bracket was my issue. Thanks for making it. I'm mechanically inclined and these videos give me that confidence I need to SAVE MONEY. 👍👍

Search how to remove broken bolts in engine on RUclips there’s several good videos that will show you how to. It’s not going to be easy. I hope you can get them out. Let me know how it goes. Those videos can help you better than me trying to explain it.
If my theory is correct and you don’t wanna spend the time taking the top bolt out of the bracket then just loosen it and turn it out of the way, put the new mount in and turn them both together and hopefully they will go into place with a bit of force
The OEM passenger mounts are no longer available, so the real question is is there any vaguely decent aftermarkets? I'm probably just going to wait until my oem gets much worse since aftermarket is supposed to be so bad.
I just bought a ford focus online and the motor mounts are bad. It vibrates pretty bad and whenever i go over a bump it makes a clunking noise. Im not mechanically inclined at all and i don't have any tools!! About how much do you think itd cost to get it fixed at a shop??
I have no idea depends on what they charge for an hourly rate. I would call around to all your local repair shops. Use Google maps and it will show you all the shops near you.
@@SouthernBlessedHomestead only the side motor mount was bad it ended up costing 180 for labor and like 30 bucks for the parts!!
