    I know how to do that, NOW what do you do with the traced image?

      @LauraWatsonArt  10 месяцев назад +2

      I usually file the tracing paper in case I paint it again, the image in the Watercolor paper gets painted

    Hi Laura, thank you for sharing this light box technique. Could you trace a print directly onto your watercolour paper? Helene

    • @LauraWatsonArt
      @LauraWatsonArt  3 месяца назад +1

      Yes you can, this method is a method I use so I can refine my drawing further if needed. But you can place the watercolor paper on the light box and a printed image over top and trace right onto the paper if you want to save time

    You can actually use watercolour paper to trace your drawing…even 300gms

      Thanks Veronica, that's good to know. I usually refine my drawing after I trace it, but I bet that would save even more time.

    What light box do you use/recommend? I have tried a lot and they were all terrible. X_x It wasn't bright enough, broke easily, or it didn't charge well.. The list goes on. Lol!

      I forget the brand I got but mine was purchased off Amazon and was about $60

    Can this be done from a picture in a book?

    • @LauraWatsonArt
      @LauraWatsonArt  5 месяцев назад

      Yes if you can lay the page over the light box

    Why are you using such a thin, transparent paper with a light box? Isn't the whole point of a light box that the strong light makes it possible to trace directly onto real "art paper" like watercolor paper, sketch paper etc? 😄

      Hi there, I use the tracing paper as I like to refine my drawing and not transfer directly onto watercolor Paper. Sometimes I change my drawing before transferring.
