CN's Dartmouth to Autoport Yard transfers 1991-2016

  • There is only a small three track yard adjacent to Autoport and so car carriers that arrive are stored at Dartmouth's waterfront yards and taken to Autoport often twice a day.
    Over the years this duty has been carried out by both Alco/MLW and GM locomotives including S-13s, RSC-14s, SW1200RSs, SW1200RMs, Sweeps, GP9RMs, GP38-2s GP38-2Ws and GP40-2LWs.       Yes, CN still services the autoport frequently.
