Ballistic face Shield from China

- We bought this ballistic helmet face visor from Aliexpress and it was suspiciously cheap. Imagine our surprise when the ballistic face shield surpassed all of our expectations.
Since our channel is demonetized we would like to thank Sellier & Bellot for their support and quality ammo!

IM GLUING 12 OF THEM TOGETHER AND BECOMING THE CHINESIUM MAN!!!!!
It’s captain chinesium!
Chinesium Carwindows Carl
It’s funny because one of the Chinese news outlets mistranslated the rank of an American army captain spokesperson into “Captain America”.
And the guy actually looked a little like Captain America lol
We all know it's you DemoMatt.
@@tlshortyshorty5810 I audibly kek'd. Well played fellow /k/ommando. 👍
wow, this is the first armor testing video i've seen where the chinese armor performed as advertised and even better than advertised for the 1st shield.
The level 4 standalone plate also did great - video coming soon
Demo ranch has video on chinesium armour in form of solid steel plates - while heavy and primitive they still provide bullet stoping capabilities.
@@PolenarTactical yes, armor plates from china may not be as good as top tier US Socom plates, but they cost less than a tenth and do really well, stopping A LOT of different calibers.
Allready hyped for your test video!
@@kamiskub7409 they have ceramic armor as well. Which is pretty good and insanely good for the price point.
Talfladermouse had some plastic plates of differing thicknesses that they descibed as motherboards, which performed quite well.
Honestly, if I'd suddenly be ordered to travel on top of an armoured vehicle manning a machine gun, I'd gladly take this over nothing.
I watched a video of the “steel m88 helmet” tested
It didn’t stop any rifle rounds and most of the pistols deformed it pretty good, the guy was like “this Chinese junk will get you killed!!” All pissed off like and I thought to myself
If I was in a trench or foxhole or even in the bush… it wouldn’t stop or save me from direct hits, but it would do a very solid job at defeating shrapnel and falling debris and even shots from extreme angles… way I figure it is, it’s better than being butt naked with nothing protecting your head, I might even buy a few because of that, it would be like the Brodie helmet, not fantastic in combat but it would be a fantastic trench helmet, most injuries in trenches are from sniper fire, ricochets, and falling debris, it could save tons of lives, and if everyone’s naked, now everyone has atleast some kind of head protection
I didn’t comment on the dudes video because of how much hate he had for it, I think he was just jealous the Chinese made a helmet available for 80$….
@@kyleminks6374 saw brandon hererra shooting the russian cold war steel helm and it blocked a 9x39mm round to the forehead.
Basically gta online
Or if u absolutely need to clear inside of a building… aim with ur laser and a 3A face shield will absolutely save ur life. GIGN doesn’t use them cause they look cool…
Hell I'd even take the weaker one they tested over nothing, if it stops birdshot then it will probably stop a decent amount of shrapnel too
Most impact face shields are made of Poly-carbonate layers which is actually very effective/ good at what it does in it's intended purpose, the other alternative is layers of laminated Acrylic and variable types of plastic (similar to Ballistic Glass but not quite), they work pretty well also. Very cool.
Guys, as a Chinese I have to say we DO have good quality products, they are just not as cheap as those stereotypical "Chinese" products.
You can't expect same quality with only 1/10 price, we are just cheap in labor but we are not magicians!
Exactly, this is a perfect explanation.
Yes and the most important thing is to tell the seller exactly what u want and ask them to choose for u. Especially when it comes to stuff like this, no one wants their customers to be dead that’s just bad for business 😂
Stop cheating in every videogame and maybe I'll be less suspicious of you.
I'm sure the goggly eyes were adding at least 20% more armor.
That laser focus provides at least -300 ft/lbs of energy per shot. The bullets are just too intimidated.
It is also the intimidation factor, he could not aim correctly because of the googly eyes.
Every time you show Schmeisser 1911 in video, i got huge urge to buy one. It looks so freaking awesome. And great video as always.
They shoot super nice but they don't like full 10 round magazines being slammed on a closed bolt. When i got mine i wasn't used to 1911 specifics and problems and had to learn about it :D
Wish they had them in the US. Only Schcmeisser stuff I’ve ever seen so the 60 round stanag pattern magazines.
@@PolenarTactical what would you say about 45 version though?
what? a channel on firearms that gets straight to the point and has considerable final conclusions? I'm signing up now
Welcome to the channel!
This is great feedback for us since we are constantly trying to improve our videos. We were actually talking about this - how to make videos interesting and fast paced by removing all the unnecessary footage. Im glad that it has worked :)
@@PolenarTactical keep going!
I love how the googly eyes look at the impact.
With horror 😆
This was very interesting, I like when you do tests like this. It gives a chance to see what works and what doesn’t. When it comes down to it just try not to get shot in the face.
@0:43 AMAZing how the chinesium magic face shield stopped an ENTIRE box of ammo.
hahaha, that should be the clickbait title :D
love the survival rifle with the huge optics 😂
Yeah you need 300Meters shots with that thing:)
7.62x25 Tok is one of my favourite pistol loads. I'd love to see it catch on her in the West. Especially for stuff like range ammo or PDW builds. That stuff rocks through a 20 cm barrel!
What a cool round, right? It's like it had the concept of the PDW style round (bottle necked pistol length, velocity matters) down way ahead of its time. The Tokarev is such an impractical, weird looking, but in an appealing way, pistol too. TT and PPSh vs FN 5.7 and P90! :D
@@doctormixup5388 Yup! And diverse in use! I also want to rechamber a .308 levergun in it because of how cheap it'd be. Well, I did before, you know, kid-sniffer put the embargo. It'd also work great for any medium game and defense against most predators.
Norinco P762 is a p226 platform with 7.62x25, very interesting piece.
@@voidoli212 Well hot damn, thanks!
@@intellectualiconoclasm3264 No prob, not many reviews on youtube about it, also known as norinco px3, more video made by pakistanians.
I'm not too surprised that the impact shield withstood the birdshot actually: Those shields are usually meant for stopping slinters of an exploding ankle grinder blade or something similar from hurting the machine operator, so some light birdshot might actually be an accurate simulation of what it was supposed to do.
Also: the goggly-eyes looking down directly at the impact hole after Jack got hit with the 22 were kind of funny.
you paid for 30$, you get crap toy drone from Yiwu
you paid for 3000$, you get DJI Mavic Pro from Shenzhen
Made in China product's quality depend how much you can pay for them.
wow, too bad that the metal parts kind of flop around and sit too low. Great video, I love your experimental videos.
Those parts are actually plastic which makes it even worse. An aluminum mounting system would be way better with the option of adjusting the position of the visor
Own one of those myself and can confirm that the plastic rail mounts do indeed flop like that out of the box. The issue with flop and how low it sits can be resolved by pushing it further back against the helmet and tightening the screws on the side. Basically you won't be able to raise it easily like it's supposed to but it actually works pretty well if you set it and leave it alone.
Jack and John were so cute. They were the golden retrievers of the pumpkin world.
Spooky scary googly eyes. Awesome video, great slowmo shots. :)
Thank you!
We are working on getting a better slow motion camera for projects like this one
I was just fiddling with my kids' Chiappa Little Badger earlier. 😄
So cool to see it on here.
_Ziga: A Nice Lobotomy!_
Yup, a very nice Lobotomy!
"A very nice lobotomy. Jack is dead. So here we have John" Hilarious, dry delivery:D
Glad you like it :)
I'm impressed. I wouldn't trust toilet paper from Ali Express before watching this video. Maybe I'll try out the dual-ply😅
I can hear the annoying breathing noise face shield helmet from Escape from Tarkov already. LOL
Jack and John have very bad headache that day.
It was nice of Administrative Results to volunteer to be the test dummy!!
Honestly that's very impressive for less than $100, I'm sure it wouldn't stop any intermediate rifle cartridges but it's a massive increase in protection against pistol cartridges and any fragments from artillery shells and grenades. I wonder how good the visibility through it is and how easily it fogs up from heavy breathing and sweating, it's open on the bottom so it's gotta be much better than a paintball mask but any fogging up in combat that obstructs your vision would be very dangerous.
Take price point into consideration, you can always find most proper things from China, make sure to find a seller with good reputation.
I'm offended this didn't show up in my feed despite having been a subscriber for years. I blame Samo and demand a full explanation at SHOT in January.
next try those AliExpress plates! really curious to see how they perform
He tested one 5 years ago on a $100 lvl IV ceramic/poly plate from Aliexpress, you can search for the vid. That thing was eating multiple full power 7.62x54r rounds from a Mosin like no tomorrow even after the ceramic had been blown away leaving just the poly backing taking full hits, it was insane. I can only imagine what their newest plates would be like.
We have tested the helmet and level 4 plates - videos coming soon to our channel :)
Respect! I almost forgot about that video :D
I always wanted to know how to properly pronounce the name Sellier & Bellot. You said it and now I can pronounce European words like a European. I no longer sound like a podunk from the backwoods in America. Now I am a gentleman, a scholar and a connoisseur of fine women.
Now I'm kinda wondering if the level III helmet on the one Chinese store also holds the level III projectile impacts..
We tested it after the visor. It stops the rounds but the backface deformation is way too big
Sorry if this might be out of context a bit
It's my guy from Totally Accurate Battle Simulator 😂
Very interesting. I’m currently boycotting China but China hasn’t contacted me to ask that I stop the boycott.
They just made a NIJ IV one recently as well supposedly. Seem like it would be fun.
Thanks
I’d love to see more of M57 TT shooting videos.
I always liked Aliexpress items tests, some are complete shit, others are great, for usually a much lower price than things in Europe.
When he grabbed 1911 I started smiling. When the captions said 9mm, I stopped smiling.

Great. They will sell a lot now :)

"...that was a bit unexpected..."
"...which we didn't expect."
Oh hell. Žiga is starting to sound like Kamala Harris. XD
the mask itself does his job properly, so, just replace the side arms (especially since they are bolted to the mask ) and you got a nice operationnal mask
Love what you guys do.
@Zed Kay true 😅
got the same face shield NIJ 3A from aliexpress, for basically 1/5 the price of a non chinese one.
Your shoot house has come along way, completely jealous.
Yeah the chinesium is back!
That take down 22 is freakin awesome!🔥
Maybe we should do more content with it
Absolutely 🔥
@@PolenarTactical If you do, and if you have a 3d-printer, there's a LOT of really cool attachments and mods that people have made for the Little Badger
How are people still impressed by 22 lr
@@PumpkinsAmongUs yes, im listening...
Interesting review as usual 😊
Thank you 🤗
Ah, AliExpress
Sometimes you get items that are complete shit, sometimes you get items whose cost-performance ratio is off the charts
People don’t know, China is more stricter with it’s backface deformation standards. In theory it should be safer than NIJ standards…but since it is made in China…yeah. If this is the only thing you have, go for it. But if there is other better options …stick to that instead.
I guess that isn't true for their helmets :D
We have tested one and the backface deformation was terrible - video coming soon to our channel
I was hoping you would finish it off with AKS-74U !
Damn it! I wish i thought about it. That would be interesting to test since 5.45 from that short of a barrel doesnt have much energy
@@PolenarTactical I say it would go through both the face shield and the back of the helmet. :-)
@@kmieciu4ever back of the helmet would probably stop it
I wonder if they could make plates like that. It would probably offer better protection too, since shrapnel gets trapped in the plastic, rather than glancing into your chin like with metal plates.
basically UHMWPE
Wohooo thats the stuff iam here for!! Verry Interesting!
We also tested the helmet and level 4 ballistic plates - videos coming soon :)
I was surprised by the second one
Rest in peace Jack, his wife and 7 kids will never forget him

Have you ever done a video about the construction of your indoor facility?
No, but we could if there is interest
@@PolenarTactical I would be interested! Are they tires filled with sand/dirt on the sides?
@@PolenarTactical I know I have interest, but I'm not sure if it's everyone's cup of tea. It's a little loud, but that's a given with indoor ranges.
Thanks for creating rumble account, btw. You need to use your "referral" link to get people to sign up to rumble from RUclips. It also gives you 5% of any earnings they make on content (out of rumbles pocket, not the creators cut). I'm trying to convince the whole pewtube community to migrate over & run teaser videos on RUclips then link to rumble for the full uncensored content & maybe join locals for "behind the scenes". I think it will be better for the movement as a whole to help build loyal fan base that watches on alternative platforms that actually *pay* their creators.

Please do it
@@PolenarTactical Da, da!
Oh that Schmeisser Hugo is a sexy, sexy pistol
Chinese products have, for quite some time now, being functional/works as advertised while still being affordable. Give it a couple more years and we will probably get cheap products with performance and qualities rivaling real full-blown products from high-end companies.

I was a little disappointed when you guys can't bitching around about the shield, but after you find a new way to criticize the locking sys, it's back to normal.
Ako "tetku" zaustavlja odlično... ...Pozdrav👍🏻
The big question is how do you shoot and move with a faceshield when you use optics for example.
This could be something for a match.
Edit: Thinking about it are there matches with buddy teams to shoot - move and communicate?
Depending on the eye relief you should be able to see straight through even if you don't get the best cheek weld.
Real question is if you can get some NVGs which can be properly used over the face shield.
GREAT video!! Keep it up!
Thank you! Will do!
"Jack is dead" Lmao
Happy Halloween guys. Great ballistics test.🐸🍺🔪🔥
Thank you! 🙂
Give me a completely clear version so I can see
Good video and tested
Would love to see the ace link helmet tested as well! Know it’s Chinesium but interested to see if it’s all talk.
We haven't tested the Ace Link but after filming this video we tested the helmet you see here. It's also from China and it's made out of UHMWPE. Nice and light and it did stop everything but even the 9x19mm round made too much backface deformation for my comfort. I would NOT recommend ballistic helmets made in China unless someone has tested the thoroughly.
edit - just checked their website and one of the helmets that have looks identical to the one we have tested :/
@@PolenarTactical That being said, using helmets for protection from pistol rounds is a very police-specific application.
Shrapnel test projectiles are usually closer to certain .22 WMR loads or certain buckshot projectiles aka. lighter but faster than 9mm. In those cases backface deformation is less of a concern, if it stops it it stops it.
@@hjorturerlend Not true, the majority of modern helmets are rated at excess of NIJ level IIIA which should also include maximum allowed backfave deformation
So, your cheap face shield stopped the rounds without any damage to your million-dollar smile, but the one that hit the helmet gave you a depressed skull fracture that flatlined you before the EMTs could get you to a trauma center.
Oh, and I forgot, the face shield partly dismounted after stopping the first round, so your orthodontist and orthognathic and plastic surgeons are now in deep mourning, because if it hadn't been for that dished-in skull...
Are those from militech?
Yea for the people saying the first shield is ok for stopping birdshot, $5 safety glasses stop .22's so theres that

The XRG round was a solid copper bullet
im not sure if im right or not, but in the chinese GA141 standard, everything under AK rounds is tested with different TT-rounds (steel or lead, from pistol or smg)
Nice, seems what China started to make real products, maybe not best, but worth the money 👍
China has been making good quality products for long time, but their prices are higher, western importers only like to import cheaper products from china, that is why it is so difficult to get good quality Chinese products in the west
@@ZZ-xv7cc agree
But how much was it tho? If it’s a lot cheaper and it works then probably could just change the mounts and save hundreds of dollars

Another interesting video and yes, the 22lr survival rifle is very cool whether it has an optic on it or just irons. Since we are in the Halloween spirit, maybe shoot some small candies with it at 50m and maybe 100m, or whatever you decide.
