Your little Jacob was so sweet helping his daddy plant the onions. That little boy is amazing. He is such a hard worker and Andy is a great teacher for him. I’ve said it before that I love your little family. Our world needs more families who teach their children that they are needed and are expected to do their part in the work that needs to be done. I think it builds self esteem. Y’all treat your children with respect and it’s wonderful to see!
Your children will never go hungry, if they are with you or grown up and on their own. You are giving them the tools and knowledge to do so. Your legacy will live on, it's a beautiful thing. Your supper I would love it. All yummy. Thank You for sharing ! I look forward to them. God Bless, Rebekah

I do miss real homemade butter, buttermilk and milk. Kids are are all raised,so it don't make sense keeping the cow. Really enjoy you folks, thanks for inviting me in.
I just love watching you youngsters raising your kids and your lives. I am from Kansas born and raised.I am just surprised at how much your cooking and my cooking are so similar. I was watching you cook beans and ham last nite. We used ha. , hammocks, bacon, hamburger meat, chicken, and to stretch them we would and macaroni to the pot or quarter potatoes, or whatever we had left over to stretch the meals out. I can remember one time I made a yellow cake for my dad . He told me it was good but it had too much sugar in it! I laughed at him and said dad that was cake. He thought it was cornbread!! Lol He didn't like icing on his cakes. But, he enjoyed it.He taught me how to make water gravy, red eye gravy. I am almost 71. My birthday is on the 22 of March. Ya all bring back some good memories. ❤ thank you.
I love watching you cook, you are so organized while cooking. And Jacob helping plant the onions he really enjoys gardening. He is so awesome. Thank you for sharing your family with us.
Loved watching your children help planting the onions. You are raising them right! We love your family 😍 We love breakfast for supper too and have it quite often. Thanks for another great video.
That was an awesome video from beginning to end!! Thanks for sharing with us Megan, Andy, Jacob, and Maggie. You all did a great job with the garden and the cooking and everything turned out fantastic. Stay safe and keep up the great videos. Fred.
It's Good To See Kids Helping Out. That's The Way We We're Raised. Y'all Are Doing A Great Job 👍 I Can't Eat Anything Hot. But I Love Beans,Taters,Hunk Of Onion, Cornbread...
Girl you starving me with all your amazing country cooking. We were raised similar to the way yall are doing. I raised my kids the same way. Country boys can survive. Loving your channel. ❤❤
Still watching the video but had to comment on your peppers. I grew Carolina reapers here in northeast Indiana in 2020...... PREPARE FOR FIRE!!!!! HAHAHAHAHA just a small little sliver will send you to the moon. I have just a few more seeds I'm gonna try again this year. I love growing them just for fun, and just to see if I can. Good luck and I hope they produce in abundance for y'all. We didn't get a ton of the fruit but got enough 😂
Rooster spur peppers are great for pickling and pretty hot, Black olive pepper are pretty and decorative. For fun I plant Thai peppers for fun they are tiny but extra hot. I took some to work and one person said that little thing can’t be hot. After eating one said it felt like bee sting. Lol
It’s been in the 50s in the days and 30s at night, but I can’t help myself. I started some cabbage, peas, and tomatoes in the basement under my grow lights. I’m on the Michigan, Ohio line
I scattered some carrots the other day.Im not into carrots much, but I TRY to grow things I never ate or don't care for.You never know they could be the things that will save your life one day .I scattered some around a tree in my back yard. They pushed right up through those leaves.Like someone posted one-time seeds just want to grow.lol love seeing the children participating ❤
I kwym about eggs! lol We're covered up and giving them to folks as fast as we can. We planted onions last Friday. We were slated for rain on Saturday and snow on Sunday (we got both), so I had all hands on deck to plant 400 onions on Friday evening. I LOVE growing onions! Those biscuits remind me of me Grandma's...yum!!
I have both no dig raised beds and in ground no dig beds and I love them. most stuff grows a little better I just cover with about 2 to 5 inches of compost every winter. the main thing it saves me is no tilling.
I love breakfast for supper anytime. You are probably right Andy. We probably will have a cold spell around the end of March as Easter falls on the 31st this year. Be sure to do a video when you bed your sweet potatoes. I remember Grandma and Grandpa bedding them when I was little but that's been a long time ago. Y'all have a great day!
My wife has a certain brand of flour for her biscuits and nothing else will do I thought flourwas flour just ran up to dollar general and grabbed a bag of what ever brand they sold needless to say got no biscuits that evening recon I go fetch what I'm told the next time I just thought flour was flour seems like when I was young granny bought flour and cornmeal at the mill in great big sacks don't remember the poundage on then but it was bought at same place we bought soybean mill to mix the pig feed that's been 50 years ago its probably been closed for 30 years I can rember taking corn there and they would grind it for grandaddy anyway thankful for your content I think it to be true living and not just a production like most of the bullshit on utube you know the ones got two bushels of tomatoes from one plant crap I use to watch homesteading the hardway don't see much out of Chris these days but I considered him to be real folk also also that pineywoods folks yall keep making the videos ill keep watching
I have always had trouble with carrots germinating, a guy at work told me to sow them then cover with permits to hold the moisture. Last year best germination I have ever had.
Love seeing this after seeing your peppers a few videos back. I hadn’t caught up on this one til just now and didn’t realize y’all had started your peppers from seed. So cool to see how well they end up doing!
I have had chickens all my life and have always heard that a chicken will eat anything that will not eat them lol I have always fed mine all scraps too! That’s the way I make my biscuits too! I love breakfast for supper too! Love the video❤️
i remembered something when you were doing the ham.. my dad used to do a thing called the'' ham bone.'' he would make a drumming tune slapping his thigh and chest slightly bent over~! lol hope you laughed.
One of my favorite meals to this day is a meal I grew up on.During the summer when we were all busy especially my grandmother she would fix a thick pan of cornbread and we would have a bowl of milk and bread with ham and a piece of onion to with it and that was it.We had it several times a week.
Morning Megan and Andy. Your kids will have the bestest childhood memories 😊. We’re gonna hafta watch your videos after we’ve eaten haha. I just made biscuits and had a few Granny Smiths to use up, so breakfast is kinda of a biscuit apple pie haha. Another great video, thanks for sharing ❤
Stay away from the Ghost pepper Raised beds plus carrot seeds = 100. it'll work just fine. Breakfast for supper??? Just what the Dr. ordered! You both should be proud of the way you are teaching the kids good work ethics. It's something you don't see a lot of today. phil
Carrots have been a challenge for me, too. Hope this is your year for success! After always buying plants, a couple years ago I finally bought a couple heat mats and octopus-like grow lights that clip to the edge of an old table. Have really enjoyed the process and now able to try all the varieties not available to buy as plants. Saving money is nice, too!
That bunch is sure lucky to eat at Ms. Megan’s Diner all the time! Amen on that “learning curve” cooking cured, smoked bacon. Every time I load my smokehouse and make a load, I always make a point to tell (warn) folks about cooking it too long! I tell them “most of the moisture is pulled out of this meat in curing, don’t try to cook “crispy” bacon, you’ll ruin it!” They usually destroy the first pan full and then get the hang of it. 😂
I'm so happy that it's gardening season again! I am really looking forward to watching you guys plant and grow this year! It's going to be fun 😊❤😊 great video!
I’ve watched several of your videos now and really enjoy your no-nonsense style. The idea of low till or no till has been around since I don’t know when, and I’m looking forward to finding out how it does for y’all. Thanks
Those are what us here in eastern NC call cat head biscuits, all they need now is some hoop cheese in them. I’ve found that here in Johnston Co. NC, the shallower I plant my onion sets the bigger onion I get. I leave half the bulb above the dirt, but I just plant regular sweet yellow onions. Really enjoying yalls channel.
I can't wait to plant my garden! Here in MN we can't plant early stuff til late April. Considering we have no snow now, I might do an experiment and try seeding in onions in a few weeks. I wonder if it will work... Always love watching your family working together. Such good kids, you two seem like such good parents.
Hey Andy, one of those tobacco pegs up there in the shed would have been more ideal than the dried hog weed stalk to set out them onion sets. You did good tho,and seeing your children running around barefoot reminds me of when me and my brother was young. And your wife makes the perfect biscuits.
Little Hand Shovel/Trowel works prefect for onions. Poke, push forward, slide onion down shovel/trowel, pull out shovel/trowel. Makes the best little slit in the dirt to get the onion set in. 👍 Waiting for the snow to melt here, I'm jealous
Looks good y’all with the onions so I have plenty of carrots wow that’s a great bag of carrots I’m gonna buy so my feed store sells carrots that are good for our area by the scoop or the pound or whatever you want and I need to go pick up more but I have a lot of carrots ready to start pulling but you know you can succession grow carrots and we eat a lot of carrots around here and I think it’ll work out with the way you’re gonna do it Pull that mulch back and put in those carrots🥕🥕
If you plant your hot ones close to each other, they possibly will cross pollinate. Had some reapers planted next to some Thai chilies last year and the Thai crossed with the reaper and made some interesting looking peppers
Hi. I love watching you cook. I give up making biscuits. Tried and tried. Like hockey pucks. I just use the can. Yours look so good. I have major trouble trying to get the butter mixed in with the flour. Then trouble mixing the milk. lol. Really love your channel.
My got the sets just my garden just to wet I'm a chomping at the bit first year I can remember not having my onions and potatoes planted by know got the disk on the tractor setting on ready waiting on go

I’m in Zone 5b, so it’s a bit early for my garden. I love to watch what other people are planting.
Rooster spur peppers are great for pickling and pretty hot, Black olive pepper are pretty and decorative. For fun I plant Thai peppers for fun they are tiny but extra hot. I took some to work and one person said that little thing can’t be hot. After eating one said it felt like bee sting. Lol

Oh my goodness that looks so good I did not get invited LOL
All looks delicious!! Will try your biscuits.
If you plant your hot ones close to each other, they possibly will cross pollinate. Had some reapers planted next to some Thai chilies last year and the Thai crossed with the reaper and made some interesting looking peppers
Good morning N.C.
I’m trying the no till, deep mulch gardening this year here in Texas due to the heat. Hoping to improve my soil and help with watering.
Y'ALL just got to make me HUNGRY!
Yall are growing Carolina Reaper peppers very good.
