Every winter I defrost my “frost-free” upright. I take advantage of our Canadian weather and store the contents outside. I like the reorganization too. Thanks for sharing.

I have to pull everything out of my too many chest freezers every January to remember what I have and not go crazy trying to keep track for a big chunk of the rest of the year. It's always a surprise. I set up a few tables like you do and hit it hard. Usually get done within a "working" day timeframe. It's always nice to have it done. Thanks for sharing, Carter!

This has been on my list for a long time. My freezer is outside on my covered patio so I generally wait until it’s cool outside. Great inspiration to get me going❤❤❤

Kids coming for the holidays? Crock pot Cranberry Meatballs! Pork tenderloin on the grill! That is two things gone. I also stand my bacon and link sausage upright on the door so they don't get lost. Wow you did it!!! Everything is organized and it looks great.
Thanks Carter. Thaw out something for David to grill and then have a relaxing evening.

Thanks, Donna! Yes to the kids coming. Woohoo! I do those cranberry meatballs in the crockpot with a jar of the spicy cranberry chutney I made a couple years ago. So good! Poor David grilled 4 pork tenderloins and a flank steak for me the other night! Sliced pork tenderloin is in the freeze dryer now. It's so good to have it all done. Have a great week!

I did the exact same thing about a week and a half ago. I asked my granddaughter to help me though I use mine Deep Freezer I have the coffin style so I use those wax bags with handles to store stuff but we took everything out and went through it and put everything organized and it actually gave me so much room plus my granddaughter is college student so I gave her a plan to take home with her.
And ever since then I’ve been taking out a meat or two a week. I use a little 3 gallon bucket to take out what I need to defrost in my fridge and the bucket actually helps with anything that wants to bleed out. It’s been working great we are empty so we really need to eat out of the freezer constantly for a good while and it looks like you did too. ….lol
But it was the best thing that I hadn’t done in so long too I think it’s been more than maybe a year that I hadn’t done that and I do enjoy it now so more organized ., so I don’t need to go to the grocery store for really anything maybe email and eggs if needed but not really and the fresh few fresh vegetables of course other than that we need to eat what’s in the freezer and that was just one for you the other one I have a smaller half version of the coffin. The coffin is really big but the smaller version is I don’t know off small cubic freezer half pint type thing I don’t know, but that one doesn’t have much in there, I can actually take out there and put it in the bigger one because I was gonna give my son one of my deep freezers
I am enjoying this video because I went through that a couple weeks back 🐷 🐄 🌱

I just started watching your freezer organizing video. OH MY! I had a problem very similar. The way I ‘solved it. I bought a second upright freezer. Neither of my uprights are as large as yours is. My newest one is in good shape ‘so far’! Well I just told my husband that my kitchen is cleaned up after two days of cooking and canning onion stock. Last few jars are almost ready to come out of the canner. A good cook needs a full freezer and all the stuff that goes with it, plus a kitchen that is often in disarray! Anxious to see the rest of this video and what your freezer looks like at the end.

Looks great! I just did our big chest freezer in the garage last month and canned most of the half of beef that we bought at the first of the year. Used some of that available space today to stock two turkeys on sale at Publix. I'll be cooking and canning those later. Now I'll have room for some hams when they go on sale at the end of the year. We like to use those for sandwich meat. I've enjoyed all your meat canning videos!
