They make this ojs in 55mm. If you take the riser pads off and put the 55mm ojs it’s a nice ride I think you like it.I feel I can carver harder when I’m closer to the ground
@@GeezerSkateCo The equipment is quite different and as a result is mostly flatland or transition skating. It started as surfers wanting to practice on dry land in the off season. Skating is new to me, but it's my impression that surf skating popularity has been on a steady climb in recent years. There are lots of videos on RUclips if you're interested.
You may have already gotten a Surfskate but Ill give my experience. I picked up a Dogtown Longboard with some Carver CX trucks a few months ago. I put the trucks on a Web DT deck and have blast carving with it. Great work out and has really helped me loosen up my regular skate trucks.

I'm in the building stage of a book right now about the positive impact skating has had on local youths and I interviewed a city Police officer this morning (after I partook in my morning smoke ) and he had nothing but good things to say about our beloved culture and community. So I'm feeling really good about it and I have an interview with the owner of Killer Skate shop in Evansville IN tomorrow at noon. Plus I'm collecting used skateboards for poor kids that wanna start but don't have the funds.
@@payneb52 - that is incredible! That's great you are doing this - please let us know when its published and we will definitely get a copy and spread the word about it! If we make it up to Kentucky anytime soon, we can bring some skate equipment we don't use any more for the skaters in your area

As an older skater less into tricks and more into cruising, what are your thoughts on surfskating? Have you tried it?
I haven’t tried surf skating - what is that? Is there somewhere specific that you do this? Do you need different equipment?
