    That is a very very nice homage to the old school with new school gear. I'd love to find that Scram Whopper or something similar. Can't wait to see more skating with that deck. Super nice job.

    05:12 I was really looking forward about Lil Jawns Risers, it was the main reason I watched this video (I do like all your videos).. If I remember right, they were made by Santa Cruz & they were amazing with Tracker Trucks (for me at least!)

    46yo Geezer skater here and proud! lol I just purchased my first board in 20 years. Vids up on my yt channel.
    That deck has a rad shape. I love those risers!. Great looking set-up man. The only thing I would have done personally is ditch the white wheels for some that are the same bluish color in the deck art. I love colors on boards. haha 80's! Good vid

    Sick video, my daily driver is a 9.8” heroin deck with 169 Indy’s, orange 60mm skull skate wheels, Indy risers and Bronson bearings and been rocking that setup for about 5 years aside from the deck I replaced multiple times. Sometimes I wonder if we’re really heading forwards or backwards in skate design

    • @GeezerSkateCo
      @GeezerSkateCo  2 года назад +1

      Thanks! That sounds like an awesome setup you have! Good point about skate design. I just finished reading the Secret History of the Ollie by Craig Snyder, which is about way more than just the Ollie. In it, he deep dives into the evolution of skateboard tech and design and what’s really interesting is that back in the 60s/70s, skateboard shapes/materials were changing a few times a year, then the shape most commonly associated with the 80s appeared and that lasted until about 89, then in ‘91 or so the popsicle appeared and for over 30 years that’s been the dominant shape. The reissue craze isn’t going anywhere, but neither are the popsicles. Is there anything else that can be done with the basic skateboard? I have no idea, but am curious to see what else is out ther

You should do a video on them. How they work, how to install them ect. All the young kids are like what are those!? The Geezers are like man I haven't seen those in years! I'm just trying to keep em alive. Sometimes their hard to find but, they are also 10x better than the wood screws we get with most railz imo. Rad Railz sells them in packs of 10. That's the ones I've been using. They work with their railz and with Powell Rib Bones. Haven't tried them with other railz yet but I plan to. They work with Powell Flight Decks also. Love them on my 9.13 Andy Anderson deck!
