Elona is a legendary rogue-like (real rogue-like, not a progression arcade) and Elin is the sequel. So when you asked about progression, probably not. Instead it is a game that is (kind of) like the original Rogue. But if Elona is anything to go by it leans heavily into the "do whatever you want" category.
I hate how warped the common usage of "Roguelike" has become. When I tell people I love roguelikes, all too often I'll have someone be like "oh yeah, binding of Issac is great!"
@@kyunkun3584 The roguelikes reddit can be funny sometimes. Lot of people stop by talking about Risk of Rain and Slay the Spire. PLAY ROGUE PEOPLE. It's a great game and it still holds up today. (Of course the poor adventure game crowd don't see many games like Colossal Cave Adventure these days, so I can't be _too_ harsh on those that don't know what a roguelike is.)
keep keepers, what type of gamer do you need to be to like these designs? I'm honestly asking myself that, no hate there, I just can't image wanting it right away.
I like clean lines and rich colours myself, much more than the pastel "cozy" games which have taken over. And the game, while not necessarily my thing, does have some interesting Plate Up like elements.
Elona is a PC game mate… It released for PC in 2007, I strongly suggest to check it, or more one if its version, Elona+, it’s free and is a really great roguelike. A mobile game was released in 2021, just don’t use it as reference, even though noa, the dev of elona, was there, you feel there was a Chinese company behind a mobile game, filled with gacha, season pass, IAP, login bonuses etc. This isn’t the real elona experience. Still love your content as always bro. Love from France as always~
Some audio issues that I had to fix!
That alucard on the thumbnail gave me hope they would release SotN on pc, don't bait ppl like that 😢
That's not how Alucard looks. My condolences 😂
He is, that's Alucard from SotN@@coldasice1553
@coldasice1553 that's exactly the way the one from the game looks.
@@Iris-og1op why my reply got deleted? 😭
I'm assuming you know about emulation and Bloodstained ?
Not to start any trouble, but Jackie Chan should think about exploring legal options for Image & Likeness conflicts with 'Karate Survivor'.
Legally distinct enough (probably)
Wow! I never thought I wanted so bad to play a metroidvania visual novel! Amazing blend!
Karate survivors was so great, i played a demo , its like playing Jackie Chan movie

Haven & Hearth is actually around 15 years old! pretty neat and surprising to see it coming to steam
So cool to hear Clemmy pronounce Dong Wu properly.
My one advantage in an English dominated landscape lol. (Not that my mandarin is good)
@ClemmyGames it's a tough language. I received Mandarin lessons from a friend in Nanjing and it wasn't easy!
