Really surprised that Beyond Galaxyland wasn't included. Turn-based RPGs aren't my thing and I absolutely loved it. Good story, excellent pixel art, and some fun platforming and simple puzzles thrown in - all done by one developer over 5 years.
It's important to note with ufo50, the games listed iirc are based on when they were created so the earlier games on the list might feel more clunky then the later ones. That said, each game is getting mass patched as issues come up so if nothing else they are addressing feedback to keep them playable. (a lot of them are still hard as balls lol)
Man October is half over, a new NextFest has started, and I’m still catching up on last month’s games 😆 People complain in the comments on these videos a lot about all the roguelikes. I’m tired of them too-but I think Shogun Showdown is the real deal! Just super fun so far. It’s also been a good month for indie FPS’s. Chasing high scores in I Am Your Beast was super satisfying, and I’m looking forward to basking in the indie-Titanfall vibes of Echo Point Nova. I had been holding off on Hollowbody because too many games, but hearing that it has a short runtime makes me want to try and squeeze it in. As you said, the atmosphere is very well done.
Got disappointed with Star Trucker unfortunately. You don't really drive your truck in that game. You undock, collect cargo, spend 2-3 min flying towards the nearest jump gate and teleport to the next location. Repeat that several times and you quickly realize there's no "road ahead" gameplay, just a series of gates with 2 min flights in between. 4-5 hours into the game you'll finally find that first "empty" location where you cross the entire sector (Yay! Driving!) but then you're back inside the teleport-dock-undock-collect-teleport loop. That mentioned, the truck itself and everything related to maintenance is really neat, but the whole economy behind buying replacement parts feels unbalanced (if you don't tweak difficulty).
I wonder if you'll cover the new DLC for Spellforce: Conquest of Eo at some point (released Sept 30)... I thought it would have made it onto the list several weeks ago.
As someone with over 130 hours in ravenswatch and being there since early EARLY access, i have to say multiplayer is kinda unplayable, ppl can easily ruin your match. I recommend friends. Also balancing has been very wonky. We had patches that made the game really hard and patches that made it super easy. The 1.0 patch we have right now makes the game kinda easy ngl. Also doing a full run takes 70min. Or more. No saving in between Still with a buddy i recommend.
@@ClemmyGames it's a survival craft, if I remember correctly, set in an archipelago; there's some fantasy involved, but the most distinct thing I remember is that there's a giant that wades around the archipelago that would occasionally attack you, perhaps because the player angers it..? Regardless, the giant's the part that makes it stick out to me.
Thank you so much for including my game (9th Dawn Remake) amongst some great releases
Thanks for putting Realm of Ink in first and at the thumbnail Clemmy!!! Really appreciate it! Happy gaming everyone!❤
Bro is on a generational run blessing up my feed with 2 videos everyday

Hello! Do you have a video about games like donkey kong country or worlds with stages to clear?
I wonder if you'll cover the new DLC for Spellforce: Conquest of Eo at some point (released Sept 30)... I thought it would have made it onto the list several weeks ago.
