I loved Toads of the Bayou when I played the demo. It's a little bit like Into the Breach with toad-people instead of giant robots. So maybe it's not that much like ItB after all.
I can vouch for Mercury Abbey ! THe developer's last game Tales of the Neon Sea felt very good had great puzzles the story was interesting . It didnt feel like a comitment to play if that makes any sense.

Several on here that I’m excited about! Mercury Abbey and Loco Motive I’ve played demos of, and both will be great games, I have zero doubt. I'm sorry, did I hear 87.5 MILLION DOLLARS! IN FUNDING? That's waaay more than some AA and AAA budgets. Metal Gear Solid V had 80 million development budget. Not including marketing. I know it's an independent studio... these "indie" waters are muddy.
Supervive's devs raising all that money lets you know the game is going to pay to win, cater to whales, NEET's and basement dwellers and be a total piece of shit.
