Great idea. Thanks for making this clip. do you realise If you hinged the pedal part at the front it can be used like a sewing machine pedal/car pedal and not have to raise your leg.
As a person who sews, I totally agree. I would've turned the pedal around, so the hinge is in the front. Great tutorial though. Check out Erica Alfredo's tutorial.
I came to the comments to say the exact same thing. Then you don’t have to raise your leg up to use the pedal.

Sería mejor si se voltea al otro lado el pedal, queda muy muy alto, debería ser parecido al pedal de una sewing Machine
Problem is in the fact that he put the hinge on the wrong side. So, you have to use more pressure leverage on the pedal. Whereas, if the hinge is on the front-side you can get maximum leverage with minimal pressure. It is why most pedals look that way. It’s a physics thing 😁👍 The other way he could have improved it, is by having another board mounted to the side of the desk at the top with a hole drilled in alignment with the handle, to ensure the cable only moves strait up-and-down perpendicular to the handle, so that it does not put at it to the side. Yet, another lever physics thing. Which is why most of these things go through a hole in the desk / table they are mounted to.

Do you realize your pedal is reversed? car, machine pedals all angled so heel at lowest point and toes pointing upwards or on highest part of pedal. Less tiring and better control.
Like outside concept have only seen inside cupboard version. In my case inside will have to be as I got lucky and found a winged cupboard that makes external pedal impossible.
If you don't want to reverse pedal simply add a stirrup to top of you current pedal this allows your lady short like I am to slip her foot in at lower level and push down. Good luck. Thanks for showing us your exterior pedal.
