- I decided it would be a fun challenge to see what I could paint with a time limit of only 30 minutes. I did rush through this painting, not waiting for layers to dry in between coats, and not putting in the finer details I normally would. I had a lot of fun doing this. How do you think it came out?

It drove me nuts too! LOL
The moon segment made me feel better, as this kind of things happen to me quite frequently. Such honesty led me to subscribe to this channel This is a magnificent and honest demo. Thanks a lot for posting it Chris. You've got all my respect and gratitude. As well for your piano playing performance 👍👌👏👏
Thank you so much for doing this. Such a powerful piece, I can almost feel the salt spray on my face! I definitely want to attempt this.
Jo, thank you very much! Please check out my "Lost at Sea" tutorial, in which I cover many of the techniques used in this same painting in detail.

+Thuy Dao thank you! :)
Beautiful painting! What colors did you use? Thank you for sharing your talent.
Thanks! I used Ultramarine blue, burnt umber, titanium white, yellow ochre, and quinacridone magenta. I may have used a few other colors in small amounts, but these are the main colors used. This was acrylic by the way.
Great painting! What colours are you using on your palette here? 👍👍👍👍
Just finished a ship tonight lol!
Is it a regular angled brush to do the waves?...or is it a specially brush. The painting is awesome. :-)
monemvasia thanks! It is an Artist's Loft brand "dagger striper" brush from Michael's.
I just got a dagger brush last week (not knowing what for just curious because I'd never seen 1) and it is my new very best friend. I had no idea what I was missing when painting lines and details, and lines and details is the majority of what I paint! I'll definitely be looking for more in different sizes.
Very good work, do you gesso your canvas?
Jim Cooper I do not. It was a cheap pre-primed canvas from a big 10 pack.
I'd love to try this. It's beautiful. Would i be able to sell my version of this if I give you credit for the tutorial?
Felicia' s Journey , sure go for It! You don't even need to give me credit. This is a pretty basic painting that anybody could have thought up. I'm not one of those copyright gestapos like some other artists. Lol
PainterInYou thank you bunches. I'll share if I get it to look as awesome as yours 💗
This would have taken me a month !!
Lol!
