Still not easy being tested with evil, sometimes money problems family problems and life problems causes evil in our mind and heart and he or she faith dies, specially when you struggle in life it’s very easy to loose faith but not easy to hold on faith sometimes halal life is very difficult and having patience is extremely very hard in life
I would argue that Hamza Yusuf's comments only really make sense within the context of moral objectivism. The problem of course is that (as far as I am aware) Hamza Yusuf is an Ash'ari and as such he believes that good and evil are _not_ intrinsic properties. Notice that Hamza Yusuf implied that we have a conscience and this conscience dictates that an obvious example of moral evil really is such.
The fact that a good action is beautiful and a bad action is ugly suggests to my mind that the Ash'ari teaching that good and evil are subjective categories is mistaken. If good and evil are simply determined by the will of God then one would expect the actions to be neutral; but why beautiful? It implies moral objectivity I think
Of course when Allah created the ultimate being Human, he also said its nature is good and evil. Look at our earth history full of wars, empires and massacres. The Shaytaan (Devil) resides inside the mind. Deeds and levels of Jannah (paradise) (heaven)& Hell. Ask yourself if murder of the innocent is a lesser evil than sex. Moses is mentioned most in the Koran of all prophets. 10 commandants.
Interesting points as always... thank you, بارك الله فيكم
Well done. A fine explanation.
Very impressive

Alhamdulilah!

@Peter Müller You have said that before and as I said previously I am not dictating anything. It’s called theology!

Both are forbidden.
