In this video, I do my best in showing you how to take the minimum amount of tools and to change the oil in your 2016 2.4 L Kia optima.

Torque Settings
1. Oil Filter
Tightening torque :
11.8 ~ 15.7N.m (1.2 ~ 1.6kgf.m, 8.7 ~ 11.6lb-ft)
2. Oil Drain Plug Bolt
Tightening torque :
34.3 ~ 44.1N.m (3.5 ~ 4.5kgf.m, 25.3 ~ 32.5lb-ft)

Thanks for this! Question, have you had to have the engine replaced under warranty or is this the original engine? I know the engines go out pretty commonly on these cars.

Mona knock on wood, but this is the original engine. I’ve just maintained it and change the oil and the fluids and it’s held up pretty good for me.
