    Great video! I think this kind of shows that these cars are more suited to those who lease/PCP, as by the time the agreement comes to an end, you are rotating to a new model. The only downside to that is very soon everything will be PHEV/EV.
    I want to hold onto my manual ICE cars for as long as possible 😢

    • @BertskiZPolski
      @BertskiZPolski  9 дней назад

      @@Tibialstone7 They definitely cost some money to get dialed in after so many years. But asides from some small common issues, my BMWs have largely been reliable. Ownership really isn’t that bad as long as you upkeep and maintain it.
      The decline of manuals and the ICE is one of the reasons I picked this car in a manual. But even now a lot of companies are going back on their decisions to switch to electric cars. We’ll realistically see the ICE still being produced for another decade. I’m hopeful!

    It's weird my 2016 has been having odd times when such a noise comes from the rear suspension. Thing is I have aftermarket coilovers so don't know if that's just coincidence or what could be going on. Love the car otherwise it is aging so we'll compared to modern cars that look shite. Looking to get a pure500 shoved in this summer!

    • @BertskiZPolski
      @BertskiZPolski  8 дней назад

      I’ve heard it may be some bushings or related to the rear sway bar. I’ll only know for sure once I bring it in. Drives me nuts. But I love the look of the car, I just can’t let it go for anything newer honestly. Most newer cars just don’t do it for me. Next car from this will probably be an entry level exotic like an Aston Martin V8 Vantage. Something that looks beautiful and timeless, that will continue to age well over the years.

    You might’ve mentioned it but I didn’t hear; what’s the mileage on your M2? And any major issues / maintenance? I have a 2015 M235i at 61k miles, it needs quite a bit, Oil Filter Housing, Drive Belt, pulley and tensioner, valve cover gasket, water pump & thermostat ( preventative ) any my a/c hasn’t been blowing cold for the last couple months… 😅

    • @BertskiZPolski
      @BertskiZPolski  8 дней назад

      Damn that sounds rough! It’s 69k miles. My M240i had 65k and had 0 of these issues. I have had weird issues that are “common”, like the coolant cap cracking, the tail lights burning out due to a faulty ground wire, but nothing genuinely major. I’ve spent a good bit on maintenance, like the transmission, fluids, plugs, etc. but nothing mechanical that needed actual repairs.

    Your car must have been sitting under the sun for its whole life. A covered storage helps a lot

    • @BertskiZPolski
      @BertskiZPolski  8 дней назад

      Must’ve! It’s parked mostly in the shade now, but the sun has to have been blasting this car its entire life. It feels like the car equivalent of those people that just look burnt and crispy from living in the sun

    I can confirm after ownership that the leather especially on the steering wheel is trash and won't hold up in the long run!!

    • @BertskiZPolski
      @BertskiZPolski  9 дней назад +1

      The leather is really disappointing. Every other car I’ve ever been in has had the leather hold up well. We have a 2010 Lexus and the leather still feels and looks great in that car. My old M240i had the red dye bleed horribly and it left a peeled patch on the headrest. That car had 65k miles on it. This M2 has 69k miles. Not bad for a car, but on the higher side for an M2.

    You mentioned you previously had a 240i, at the moment I’m stuck between getting the m2 or the m240, anything you can say having owned both cars ?

    • @BertskiZPolski
      @BertskiZPolski  10 дней назад +1

      I actually have a few videos on that. I did one recently comparing the 2 cars, and I have one coming today relating to that as well. Way back(one of my first few videos) I have one talking about upkeep costs on the M240i as well.
      But overall, the M2 I feel is a more special car with a bit of character, it turns more heads and sounds way better. The M240i I consider a great car overall, but it falls more into the luxury category, being a top of the line 2-series. Performance wise they’re both pretty on-par with each other honestly unless you get an M2C.
      If you care about the engine being newer and the car being more subtle, I say M240i. It also has more interior options like seat color and trim. If you want a car that feels more like a sports car with some character, get the M2. I’ve bought an M2 twice if that tells you anything lol.
      I’ve owned the FZ8 transmission in the M240i, and both manual and DCT in the M2, they are all phenomenal transmissions and you can’t go wrong with any of them.
