I am waiting to see the R9 before I make a decision between the MT-09SP for my next motorcycle.
I think the r9 will be to the r1, like the r7 is to the r6
I’m in the same boat
@@luketerry1745 R7 and R6 are nothing alike besides name
Been waiting years for r9 😢
@@GuitarGuy650 exactly
Btw good to see you back bro.
Overall I really enjoy my 2024 MT-09! My biggest complaint is the seat. It’s uncomfortable after 1.5 hours and the comfort seat Yamaha sells isn’t any better!
I have the previous model and for touring I have a sheep skin seat cover. It helps a lot.
Thank you Adam for talking faster. It was annoying 1.5xing these videos. Great review, former 2021 owner.
Why did you get rid of it?
He must have taken his adderall today
@@madrat5176 got a Multistrada V4S, I found I tour more than hooligan.
This bike is awesome and a very strong update. I can't wait for the sp edition.
I want one! I feel like these bike hold their value very well as im looking for one used now. Nimble canyon carver.
What happened to this channel? Once it was all over the internet.
Naked bikes took over and everyone lost interest
@@calamarininjabeast5866blaming a style of bike for a channel’s downfall? Lol
Slowdown on interesting new bikes? Nothing worth reporting?
@@captainfreight5206 if he doesn’t have cool bikes to review people aren’t interested
Yeah I miss seeing Adam or Michael Gilbert ripping around a track testing bikes
Adam,
Do you have image stability turned on?
Hope the R9 come soon based from this MT-09
I still prefer the last generation. Same engine but lighter bike and better looking overall. The styling on the 2024 isn’t great
Right. And Gen 3 had a more upright riding position, which I prefer.
@@mikes2270 Yes 👍
I agree I have a 22" SP and this new model a some nice small improvements but the looks I think are no better and somewhat worse.
Does anyone know why manufacturers keep pushing things at us that we are not interested in ie. keyless ignition...very good for a car but no benefits for a motorcycle imo.
You say that but I bet it'd come in clutch for cop runners lol. Can't get robbed of your keys if it's simply kept in your jacket
What is the exact difference between this and the SP version? Fantastic review btw!!!
SP has Ohlins Rear, KYB front, brakes upgraded with Brembo Master + Brembo Stylema Calipers.
For looks it has a brushed aluminum rear swingarm, and nicer paint job.
I still miss my 1st gen V-Max ☹️. Shaft drive forever.
Extra weight
Nice review however certainly not air intakes, keep on keeping on.
I’m having a hard time comprehending the fuel mileage of newer motorcycles, I had a 2001 FZ-1 that could regularly get 50 mpg if not abusing the mess out of it. My 2000 Pontiac grand am GT with the ram air V6 can get 35 mpg. Are these tests at descent road speeds? Are they ran to redline for every shift? Seems like technology hasn’t advanced except for the cost!
Only thing I could think bro is the overall quality of gas is worse
Was this a voice over?
do reviewers hop on a bike and gripe about bars being to far up..mirrors not lined up brake pedal not shiny.
i would like to see a reviewer adjust bars clutch brake grips up down in out .
get the bike best adjusted for them then review it
And the suspension for their weight.
34mpg is terrible. I get at least 40mpg on my heavy 117 cu in harley and I'm thrashin all day
I get 54 on my 24 mt09. All how you ride it man.
Same, on my 2021 mt09, I’ll get 50-55mpg and 180 miles before I need to fill up. That’s doing longer touring with mountain twisties too. City only riding it’s more like 140 miles.
Way too much traffic. Poor planning on Yamaha's part. So much side traffic and parking along the side of the road, could have been a recipe for disaster!
This or the Z900? Pros and Cons of both?
The Yam triple is a riot. Prefer it to an inline 4.
Great package no one can touch the overall package of this in terms of reliability and fun factor arguably…
Never never!! Wait that long to change your oil!! Plz
Guy in front of you duckfoots on the pegs = amateur hour
I want to sell my KTM 390 adventure. I’m pricing it competitively and still no takers.
Wanted to read the comments but there were none.
We are too early 😅
I would never pair my phone with my bike. I would rather just have analog gauges over a TFT screen. I do like that they added cruise control.
Get an old bike
What not ?
120 miles of range 🤯
I’m getting 140 miles before the fuel light comes on, with another gallon to go! I’m also seeing 53 mpg consistently.
@bradybingham2317
Same here 52 to 54 mpg 150 plus b4 fuel light.
107hp? 119ps in Europe 😊
He gave to the wheel HP not flywheel :)
2021????????????????? 😮
110 120 mpg. if your not going up any hills...sounds like if you are headed above sea level you'll need to pack some liquid gogo.
I've never had a bike i can recall that needed fuel every other mile marker kinda dumb so need to skip this one. imagine riding it over to santa cruz.. beautiful sunny day
. the merc/bmw murderes stayed at home life is great... cough cough.. spit
..outta gas somewhere some ice cream grade back road.. should of bungied that ww2 jerry can
Looks like a great bike, but shit, why didn't they just have the test ride in downtown LA? That traffic was ridiculous for an intro ride.
This review was absolutely pointless. Way late to the party, and brings nothing but wrong info. No brake engine setting on this bike. And I own one. Watching 20 minutes of this one-take review screams nothing but LAZY.
😂 better than the Street Triple’s 765? And makes more power?? You’re high as a kite bro. Yamaha must have paid you a pretty penny for this review. I’ve lost all respect for you man.
I’ve ridden them both back to back this week (work at a dealership) and he’s right. It has more grunt than the ST for sure.
The engine is better the the Street Tripple that's not even debatable.
This will last a lot longer & be cheaper to maintain. The street triple has a peaky power band. Better for the track, on the street I'd take the MT09 all day.
