I had some high hopes about your video but your opinion is based on NDs but nothing about image quality, sharpness, AF performance, AF noise ( for video ) weight and balance for gimbal shooting. Anyone who is serious into video care about using NDs on matte box, screw on or in the back.
Absolutely not the same. Rf better sharpness, better stabilizing, better quality, better size (without adapter), better weight (own + without adapter), control ring, absolutely silent and support optical + in body IS
It'll be solid. However, the advantage of the R50 is the compact size, so I would personally pair it with a compact lens. But if you don't mind a large lens, the RF 24-105mm is one of the better ones at f/4
Great comparison! I learned a lot.

I chose the EF version for my R5 so that I can have ND behind the lens using the Canon adapter.
Are you happy with your decision?
Canon says that with EF on Mirrorless you are losing 3 axis of stabilization from the body..so, for video, I think RF is better choice.

Got the Meike variable ND filter adapter for $160. Used on the 20-105 EF. Anyone who shoots video seriously knows ya got to have ND filters!
thanks for the video. can you tell me is there a noise of autofocus or stabilisation in rf or ef 24-105?
Yes, there is noise with the EF, I think it's both IS and AF noise. There is no noise on the RF lens that I can hear.
@@VideoGizmology thanks
Excellent video!
What would the photographic results of the rf version be like in one canon r50?

Which lens produced better photo results ?
The RF 24-105mm produced better photos, but you can only use that lens on RF cameras.
Nice, thanks
