I didn't record the first match (I won) between me and my opponent because I wasn't planning on making a video, but once I seen his playstyle I started recording haha. Here are some tips to deal with this: 1) Choose high DP characters of course 2) instant transmission can close the distance, but if they get a super counter off they can still knock you back and continue turtling for skill points 3) Like I said in the video, use instant spark... but that means you have 15s to capitalize and if they're smart they'll just stall and/or switch characters Not having a high DP character made playing around this very difficult and even if I did have a high DP character, it's still like 5x as difficult to engage than it is for the opponent to disengage Let me know if you know more counter plays.
I think you can practice Vanishing Unblockable Blasts since they are slower now. Vanishing or stalling 2 Ultimates is usually the winning condition for people who heavily rely on it.
Idk if you main as kale or Kefla it makes sense so you can instant spark more often. I wish they had an explaination of why that change was made. Was it just for aesthetic purposes? I hope not but part of me is wondering that could be the reasoning
@@ernimuja6991I was also thinking the new or passive type players were the ones encorageing the z burst change. Idk, but damn I dont like it, I hate having to creepy slowly in :/
I had this comment as a reply to another comment in one of your previous videos, but I'll put it here because it's important: The win condition is NOT based on damage, but on the remaining HP % your team has left compared to your total, before the patch it was the raw HP value. The numbers aren't realistic, but they are for clarity: 1 team has 10k total HP and the other has 100k total HP. Now, if both teams have 5k missing HP at the end of the match, 10k team will be at 50%, while 100k team will be at 95%, so the 100k team wins. If 10k team deals 10k damage and recieves only 5k, 10k team will still be at 50% while 100k team will be at 90%. 100k WILL win even if 10k team dealt more damage. In this scenario, after taking 5k damage, the only way for the 10k team to win would be to deal over 50k damage to the opponent to bring it below 50% of its total. Damage DOES matter ONLY if the remaining HP % is exactly the same. For example 1 team deals damage to the other, but it gets healed waiting in the bench, the team that actually deals SOME damage will win, but it's probably extremely rare during gameplay. If both remaining HP % and damage dealt are the same (fe both teams never damage each other) the winner will be determined by raw HP value. If HP %, Damage AND HP value are the same, the winner is either random or predetermined (there is no draw in Sparking Zero). I've been testing this stuff along a "team" of italian players and we're 99.9% sure these are the new rules. We still have a few doubts about Fusions because fusing a character during the game MIGHT have some weird effect on it and more testing is needed. I hope this clears the air, I've been seeing a lot of people saying it's about damage and (even if it does count in the slightest and that's probably why people are getting it wrong while testing, we did too ourselves at the start) I like when people actually know the game and if I can spread what I know, I'm glad. lmk if i need to explain something better, English isn't my first language.
In the tutorial the game states that if the opponents have the same amount of hp the winner is the one who gave the first hit in the match, so it's not random. I checked this again after the update and it still says that the winner is the one with the most hp (which is wrong in the current state). I'm not sure this was in bt3 but it's possibile since every time you gave the first hit in that game it was highlighted with the message "first hit!" (just like "counter" and other stuff).
@@TheGodlyGamerMugenno there’s definitely more cheese in singles if anyone picks broly, kefla, caulifla, gogeta, a character with super op ki blast or anyone that’s super high dp and deals crazy damage your opponent can now not stop any ki charging and therefore those characters can now charge their ki and spam their supers and if your vanishing was messed with now that they changed the timing for supers or there’s any latency they can just spam supers for easy damage especially the gogetas
@@michaelseay2024 absolutely vocalized my thoughts especially in high level play, I got 12 characters on Z rank on the last patch, now ur required to play a meta character because of the ki blast spam and zoning. We have no resources to counter it because we have limited movement options.
The devs want people to end their combos. I think they are trying to nerf the unlimited resets. I believe that’s what they were going for. The trip into reset combo was just way too easy to perform and cost basically no Ki to keep looping . These devs just go about it in an incompetent way. I don’t think they actually play their game or even test the changes enough before implementing
It’s ironic though because there’s no true combo other than the previous ki blast loop which did eventually end. Super countering can be mashed and eventually you’ll get one off. Interesting changes, we’ll slowly learn it
We gotta stop calling everything cheese tbh. People are too afraid of using z dash but will waste 3 ki bars shooting ki blasts take the risk sometimes For real the main issue with catching people is the fact combos randomly drop now like 60% of the time for 0 reason
The combos dropping so often is one of many reasons why z burst dashing and engaging is just not even worth it lol. Might as well just stay back and shoot ki blasts
@alwuhugaming Yeah for real I genuinely have 0 clue why that happens now I have a feeling it's something to do with the code allowing smash attacks easier mid combo. Z burst needs to go back to 1 ki and combos need to be fixed and it would've been so close to where the game needs to be. Love your videos wish you were in the finals for the tournament most consistently great content out there for sparking zero
@StoneCLD21 Yeah I don't know what kinda nerf would make sense for perception, sacrificing the character diversity a bit and turning it into a slight knock back or disengage tool that does little to no damage might be more reasonable but I haven't heard many good ideas about it yet
The problem it's that Z Burst Dash isn't a very reliable mechanic, it has a lot of counters, but at least before it just cost you 1 ki bar, but now it cost 2. It's not worth it, the same as the revenge counter right now (you spend 2 skill gauges and your opponent can easily punish you with just 1, and if not, it's still a very unsafe move)
One thing I’ve been using to shorten the distance is ki blast into character change. If you connect with your ki blasts, the character change will combo and the new character will spawn next to the opponent
@@FILOTV yeah I’ve been doing that too but it can be hit or miss and can suck if your characters ki blast isn’t the best or if you need the character you currently have in
Skill will carry over in the long run. Cheesers are short term minded. Don’t worry brothers we beat the cheesers in the previous version and we will do it again! 💪🏾
Making z-burst dash cost 2 ruined the game for me because it just allows passive play to be rewarded even more and my whole playstyle is very aggressive. They really need to bring z burst dash cost what it did before the patch so that these kinda players don't just win off spamming their ults and us not being able to do anything about it in time.
@@TheGodlyGamerMugenyeah, that's one small ability you can get versus all the s*** that your opponent is going to have on. I think playing with capsules has its value but people that are complaining want to play in a more competitive setting? Not one that lets people choose how the game is played
I do feel like if you ran a team with higher DP players (2-3 players) to overall just do more damage to the people who stall you would be better off, your previous style of running with 4-5 players and using the switch mechanic to your advantage is definitely still viable, but it did get slightly nerfed. From what I’ve watched you beat pretty much everyone in hand to hand combat with any character you use, but the problem is you aren’t really doing a lot of damage to reward the aggressiveness that you play with.
In complete honesty this cheese is 100x less annoying than unblockable giant spam and afterimage strike spam. I’ll just dash up and keep boxing. On a win streak doing that now no one has stopped it
Probably cuz you haven’t faced someone who knows how to disengage. Disengaging is free and very easy to do. Dashing up to someone isn’t enough and can be a waste of time and ki
@@alwuhugamingI’ve been doing this combo: dash up with the new dash, then hit the square + x vanish back shot attack. Then go into a combo. It’s been working on S rank fighters. But a Z rank beat me
100% because after this new patch it’s a lot harder to counter passiveness with low DP characters and relying on switch mechanics and timeouts. The better you are at throwing hands now the better you are overall. I understand his frustration with the passive play now but I am completely dog walking everyone in Z rank now because they can’t just out stall be and run away when I’m just consistently chipping down your health.
For once I feel like I dont agree with you: you say the meta is to stall for skill points to transform, but that would allow the enemy to do the same thing or have skill points to try and counter you. I believe you also said that the idea now is to use sparking mode to do high dmg ults but its pretty easy to stall sparking mode so how is that going to be the way to go. I do believe that defensive play is pretty strong now and ki blast are pretty good, but if you do a combo with a decent dp character even if the combo is short the dmg is massive. So both ki blast and melee attacks are strong the difference is that you can deflect ki blasts so I feel like it evens out. What I mean to say is that I dont feel like no strat is as prevalent as in the last patch, where you were practically FORCED to have a 5 character team or you will lose unless you are a god, the problem currently is that people are too used to using the z dragon dash (or whatever is called) so offensive play must start developing from start unlike the keep away gameplay. For example instant transmision characters could start to rise up to counter defensive players, after all if they give you time to build skill points you will just have more chances to teleport to them. Thats all I had to say, keep the grind and the good content champ you are the best sparking zero content right now dont forget that :]
Yeah that’s if you have a character that can transform and has a good transformation. Thus FORCING you to practically pick a certain character. So it’s the same issue as before the update. Instant transmission isn’t that good. It’s ok, but spending 2 skill points to risk being super countered can easily go bad especially when you can use those 2 skill points for something else. And yes you can stall out instant sparking, but it’s not always 100% success rate. If you get hit by an ultimate, it’s actually basically game over which was the biggest issue with singles and probably why they tried to nerf sparking mode to begin with. Now this only forces people to play characters with instant sparking and not just that but a character with a good and high damaging ultimate. Before the update, I barely ever used instant sparking and was able to win that way. And again, let’s say I did go sparking mode they can just stall out, and then wait for their turn to go. It’s a whole game of passivity.
@alwuhugaming I mean half of the roster can transform into a decent transformation now that they buffed "buffing skills" like saiyan pride and stuff like that, so its not thaaaat restrictive. Maybe avoiding ults isnt guaranteed but if they miss an ult that leaves them wide open with 0 ki just like in last patch. If im being honest with you I feel like the root of this problem is not the nerf of z burst dash but super counters since they basically make every offensive play have a chance to just not work just by existing. I feel like if super counters cost something there wouldnt be as much as an issue. For example they could cost half a bar of ki unless you are in a vanish war, where they are free since you really cant mash super counter there rewarding skillfull play. I feel like I went out of topic there but either way, lets see how stuff develops.
@@alwuhugaming i recommend slowly “walking down” your opponents wish occasional ki blasts til you get close to engage rather than bursting or dragon dashing
The glitch works in the last 60, meaning any character you place at this time will have their health bar fully restored(I'm sorry for sharing how the glitch works, but I won't let my boy keep losing unfairly 😾)
They really need to bring the Z burst back to counter this. I get they want you to use a regular dragon dash but that is a way less effective way to get back into play. Unless someone discovers otherwise.
@@StoneCLD21 i think its okay when the reset costs ki and theres many easy ways to counter it plus theres an actually free combo breaker in the game so even if you spent 1 ki to z burst dash with androids and reset infinitely you could just get super countered or vanished or perceptioned or side stepped every single time forever. defense is too strong in this game and instead of either nerfing the defense or buffing the offense they do what? nerf the offense AND BUFF THE DEFENSE, WOW VERY SMART BANDAI VERY SMART JUST LIKE THAT ONE TIME YOU MADE A COMPETITIVE EVENT WITH HORRIBLE RULES FOR A ''NON COMPETITIVE'' GAME YOU DIDNT EVEN PLAY FOR 10 MINUTES TO FIND 1000 GAME BREAKING BUGS IN!!! reeally hoping they get someone with half a brain on the dev team sometime soon and maybe this game can start getting fixed 🤞 SORRY FOR YAP FEST BUT IDK HOW TO GET MY POINTS ACROSS QUICKER!!!
@@schiffer2258well I agree with most your points. I don't think it's fair to be mean to the game developers. They're probably doing everything they can. If anything, it's the distributors and the publishers that are causing the developers to not be able to implement proper rules and mechanics. That might not be the case. I'm just saying game devs generally work very hard and have a lot of love for the games they put out and would love to help but can't
It's not about eliminating cheese but allow for higher level play to put maneuver it. Which the old version did well, we just had a few problems like androids running and unblockable ults. They changed way too much
@@JuliusRoweEka"the old version did well" lmao, bro??? Literally 90% were either cheesing and winning with no difficulty because it was so easy to do it or complaining because they couldn't win fighting fair. It's way more possible to win against cheese now than it was before.
This game? if rage quitting and this last minute hp glitch is fixed ppl are gonna find a way to find a bug and cheese don't "this game" as if it doesn't happen with every multiplayer game.
I think I've found my favorite squad in this update so far to be Android 18, Super Saiyan Broly (Super), buff Roshi, and Hercule. 18 feels good for the constant ki regain and being able to keep up close, super broly for damage and possible transform, buff roshi for false courage, and Hercule as a filler
Zoning is not cheese. People not wanting to engage with you up close is not cheese. There are ki blast archetypes for a reason, thats why the dash was increased to 2 ki bars because they always intended for some level of zoning but with 1 bar dashes those characters could never get any space.
Broly does not have bad rush chains and neither does Gohan. And the zoning game before the update was already very strong. Look at the tournaments where exactly that happened. Specifically the East US Qualifiers. Now it’s too strong. Didn’t say zoning in itself is cheese, but with it being too easy to disengage is cheese. Z burst dashing was not strong and was easily baited out, which baiting it out is part of neutral game. Making it cost twice as much now only made it twice as difficult to engage.
@@alwuhugaming I didn't mean your opponent specifically, but rather characters like DBS Vegeta. Given how you felt about his forms' moveset in your analysis video, you don't think that characters of that ki blast type needed something to help them out with spacing and zoning given the poor rush chains? I didn't watch the East Qualifiers but I'll check it out.
See if players didn’t play like pansies flying away spamming ki blasts then I wouldn’t have minded the Z Burst Dash nerf. But the fact people use your inability to rush them down frequently just highlights the issue the nerf created.
Bro you literally could pick characters with instant transmission to get close, (when you knock back ppl it actually puts you in a spot to start a combo again ) wild sense so you can than boost at them and engage the fight (literally makes it safe 75% of the time to be aggressive) Full power to always be up in Ki to do your dash Smashed KI stagger broly now When you do the new dash it barely takes any ki so you can do it a lot and cancel it At any moment while moving any direction And who cares if you use two Ki bars.. the vanishes wars are so different now that’s it not even about Ki advantage The combos drop bc you ain’t pushing the buttons fast enough (any slight delay will make it register as a heavy attack) (same with tapping the triangle but to shoot Ki.. the faster you tap the more come out)
2 skill points to get close with instant transmission isn’t worth it especially if you get super countered right away. Same issue with z burst dashing and even worse. The new dash closes distance but that doesn’t mean they can’t just disengage lol. It’s very easy to just back up. Not to mention the new dash is extremely easy to punish. Smashed ki blasts stagger people with super armor yeah but it doesn’t matter if they charge ki so quickly to the point where they’re at full ki gauge by the time I’m done charging it I already said in the video that I was trying to do a trunks spotlight. I shouldn’t NEED to use characters that have instant transmission and full power charge just to compete against others. Z burst dash was a great mechanic that EVERY character had The combos drop because of an exploit people do with vanishing assault, so you’re wrong and you can literally look at my inputs as my combos drop Who cares if I use two ki bars? The vanishing wars taking more ki makes it even more important that I have ki lol. It means that if I have 3 ki bars and try to close distance with 2 ki bars with a z burst dash, then I’d only get 2 vanishes in the vanish war which is easily beatable Whatever you said has no logic behind it and clearly it seems you have not faced someone doing this to you
@ bro I play the game constantly and watch all of your videos including streams.. so it’s all love But yeah your fav character is gohan (so I used full power bc that’s specifically for you) meaning that will be something you do almost every game (so what’s the problem) Instant transmission than move up and you locked off( and being a 2 skills move makes it much easier to use.. you will see and say it’s meta very soon) The combos drop bc of a exploit that was literally just told to you in this comment section (have you tested that) (and have you tested what I said about the input) but anyway if it’s a glitch than that shouldn’t even be a problem (it will be fixed) The DP system is also a glitch so why are we even acting like the win condition are different when the whole thing is glitched(it will be fixed in a patch and you will be making another video for me to watch on it how it really works) The ki charge is faster? Felt slow to me(everything feels slower, but maybe that’s just me) If you are worried about using 2 ki bars, use to 2. stock/skill bars instead.. I’m not here to say what you should or need to do to compete bro, I was telling you how to counter as advice
@ my bad then i badly misinterpreted your tone. Like I said in the video, the counter plays to certain playstyles are just sooo much worse and expensive now. It’s just crazy lol. But yeah those are ways to counter but so risky and sometimes not even worth it
@ you good bro, I was thinking “damnnnn I mad him mad lmao “ but yeah all your videos are great brother and you are right , I just thought of a couple things that could possibly get around annoying cheese
ALMOST there. Yes the new "best" strategy is to camp and stack on skill points, but you know what ability would be the best to stack up for? A type of ability that didn't get patched out and costs 4, 2 (3 if you count transformations) characters have it and you can put them in the same team with 2 dp still available. A type of ability that nullifies those interactions where you actually manage to get damage off. I think you know what I mean: the future is bleak
Just acknowledging it, but there been some sound issues in this one, I can hear the microphone bugging out or something, and it is a bit uncomfortable.
Testing out new characters for a new team and I might use super buu to transform to BuuHan. He had afterimage and high tension that gives 2 key bars, good damage too.
5:06 YES I’VE NOTICED THIS A LOT when I step, especially after a dash and do an attack, I often find my character is attacking in the wrong direction and the enemy gets free back shots even when I’ve correctly interpreted and responded to their attack with the sidestep Combos also seem to drop much more often and input much more often feel fully “missed”
Just need figure out a better engagement tool if they’re gonna keep z burst dashing as 2 ki bars. High speed dragon dashing isn’t going to do it because it’s easy to just back away
bruh i got in a game it may just be me but at the start connection was fine then as im cooking him i get like delay and everything feels like its hitting 5 secs after i hit a button. idk if its the guy at the other end but i may have to put this game down
Bro I literally ran into this earlier and wanted to tear my hair out 😂 it’s really bad if you go against someone like Kefla or anyone with good ki blasts/fast charge time. They can just sit back, charge, and then punish u with supers if you try to approach 🤦♂️
A good counter I’ve been using: dash up to close range with the new speed dash. Then immediately hit the square + X back shot vanish attack. Then proceed into a combo
@@Thewindyfanwhen I think about it, I think my enemies usually block the attack. Then I’m close enough to start doing combos, side steps etc. also instant transmission is an easier way to counter this cheese if you have an instant transmission character on your team. I said this yesterday in chat. Having z broly is cheese cuz he can just stay back and then transform which eliminates long range cuz he’s immune and then eliminate all ur small characters 😢
Im a bit confused. Is the win condition no longer whoever maintains the most health? Are you saying its determined by how much damage you put out in a match? Sorry if you gotta repeat what was said in the video. I rewinded it but im still not sure if im understanding what you're saying.
@@alwuhugamingsomeone in the livestream chat the other day said read the battle rules in the training mode. It said win conditions are who has the most health and if the health is the same whoever dealt damage first.
Al, I suggest you edit your RUclips Home page and place your recent videos or your popular videos there for new people that find your channel. It leads them to a blank front page.
You should have switched in Jeice at the end to get his health back. I always match my oppenent switches un the last 60. Especially when you damage more characters than him and you characters can switch faster. 60 s with Jeice and 2 Trunks is exactly 60 for the switches. And you stay on the character who can transform at the end to pull some emergency healing if you need.
you’d be suprised z Burst behind right when they get instant sparking you have the back it’s basically a free combo you want to have wild sense or something as a if all else fails but people dont expect the blitz
ATP you have to fight fire w fire. Most of these players only do this because they see a low DP squad and know they can get away with it. If you include a higher DP character w instant spark (I use goku black then transform into rosé) you can punish them for playing passive. Note: rosé goku black also has instant transmission
When they see you getting your transformations off, instant sparking, ultimates, etc. they will get forced into a position where they need to engage to get more damage.
These are the types of players i ran into all day today. Redownloaded sparking just for this patch and it just isnt fun. Poked by ki blasts for 10 minutes while they run away.
Since the update iv saved Dragon burst dashing for sparking mode and either float towards them with a few Ki blast or I use the new dash mechanic after a charged Ki blast then go from there.
I really like your ability to find ways to combat different ways of fighting. Could you do a video for xenoverse 2. I wanna figute out how to combat infinite combos.
It definitely feels like a different game, i was playing singles in a lobby and its like everyone basically played the same. Everyone started the match just backing up, ill fly towatd them, they keep moving back. Even the movement feels different to me. But ill adapt, the game is still fun throwing hands. Also is it certain that it determines winner by damage dealt in DP battles?
Since the update I feel like 3 man teams are the new meta I’ve been winning against people who use 5 man’s with three man’s by just maintaining my 3 high DP characters and since they’re all high DP whenever I do go for aggressive plays I’m heavily rewarded and end up outputting way more damage and am even able to finish characters more now than I ever have in the last version of the game
I said this many times, even with the patches, cheese will always exist. Y'all gonna keep blaming devs for how people choose to play the game. Ranked is and will forever be toxic.
You didn’t realize you won that first match because of a bug in the game. Your Jeice came back with full HP after being hit by Brolys Omega Blaster. Sword trunks was also at 100% HP you won because you killed Broly so Broly could not be effected by the glitch of MAX HP
I’ve been running into people using “vanishing assault” just barely outside step in distance (that zone before decreased speed) and attack canceling the assault into a rush combo. I don’t understand how they are doing it but it was at least 5-30 matches tonight where someone did it. And consistently too. Not sure if it’s old tech or new but I’m just now seeing it post patch. And if you vanish the “assault” the combo lock on system from mashing attack just continues as though you didn’t vanish. Figured maybe someone here might know what’s going on there or hell maybe a video could be on it. Either way, there’s is still cheese to be found out there
Stop mashing your combos and adapt to the oppenents who do it. The counter play for it is not too hard you can Ki blast or side step to keep the pressure when you notice the decrease in Ki bar or you can also vanish as you would for countering Wild sense.
I have a question brother! I mained Burter (hard mained till I managed top 6). I used different ways of getting in to preserve ki without z-burst dash. Have you tried using/mixing short dash and dragon dash in combination with the new hi speed dash mechanic? I beleive in theory if you do this while allowing the momentum of the dash's to move you, you could preserve ki while pushing the opponent. It will require a tad bit of patience but I believe you could master that movement to get in! Hope this helps dude! Also try incorporating a speed character (I recommend Dyspo as Burter is easily super countered).
I don't understand this decision. The dashes are meant to be aggressive so you can arrive directly at the back of your opponent. And the problem we had before was with cheese all around the place. they litteraly punished those who have an aggressive play style
The combo drops are a direct result of Vanishing Assault, it seems like a nasty bug. Watch your opponent's ki whenever a combo drops like that, it takes ki from them even when you interrupt a vanishing assault but still breaks your combo.
I think that if you think of instaspark like a full power charge, just to replenish ki, even if they run away in the end you will end up with a full ki gauge and they will have nothing (or 2-3 ki if they change characters) so it still is very useful even of they stall it
There is indeed cheese already. I played against someone that had characters that all had an explosive wave as their super so they would pop it whenever you tried to approach and would just pepper you from far away until they got to sparking.
The skill one yes. But some characters have the super like Caulifa, Kale ssj, and base Z Broly. So they can charge ki and go into sparking and use the super if you were to try and dragon dash.
if they just undo the ki cost nerf to the burst dash behind them, i think the game is in a pretty good state. ik a lot of people hated vanish wars too but i thought it was at least skill based w like ki management/positioning/ability to supercounter, not to mention i think vanish wars made sense and were cool for an anime/dragonball fighter
I cant play the game anymore.. My smash attack suddenly appears in my combos without me holding the button. I hope they fix it fast, cause it's unplayable
They should just revert Z burst cost and increase super counter cooldown, the meta resulting from that would surely be better than this, and if backshots get too annoying, then make revenge counter work on them.
Iirc one of the complaints in the giant Doc from past BT3 players was the lack of down time. I guess making Z burst 2 Ki bars was the response. However now passivity is rewarded because the person engaging is always at a ki detriment. Skill points regen slower? Ok just wait a bit more as you play passive. Ironic that in the end this all buffed Broly. Projectile supers got nerfed in speed, yet Broly probably had the fasted out of all of them anyways. Broly also has super armour and probably still the best Ki spam. So what really changed for him? Forcing engagements got harder, stallkng transformation got easier. The best ki spam can spam ki less? Just like everyone else. No much
Post 13 for my teen Goku. I’ve been sticking more with singles these days. Now it’s a little more fun without all the insta sparking and ultimate nerfs
guys if you wanna have fun pick majin vegeta a 4/5 cost that goes to at least 7dp and any filler you like or if youre feeling like the goat you can just lock in majin vegeta plus an 8cost 👍 you then throw hands until you figure out the opponents playstyle and if theyre cheesing you can just blow yourself up to save the wasted time because theyd probably just ragequit on you if u were about to win anyways. been a fun strat for me at least hate being stuck in long ass matches against toxic players especially when they either quit out or dont run the set, with this you can choose who deserves to fight you, and at least imo majin vegeta is by far the best vegeta in this game and his moveset is very fun to play with. lmk if u try it out curious to see if anyone else thinks this is good because for me dp mode is way more fun than single but most of the time its tooo damn long and cheesy and i end up feeling really burnt out after just a few matches
I don't know if you noticed in the second match both you and him had HP fully replenished once you switch out the characters. Has to be a glitch since I noticed happening in my games as well.
All fighting games have troll tactics. But the issue with 3d arena fighter like Sparking Zero is that they are easy to get into so it doesn't keep away the trolls that are just there to ragebait serious player. BT3 came at a time where couch play with friends was the trend so there was no room for troll. People had to behave and play the game as it was intended.
I’m not sure if it was a glitch but yesterday whenever I broke someones guard with a charged smash attack, I got punished when trying to do a rush chain. It was like breaking their guard gave me negative frames. It was frustrating.
I played a bit last night, and honestly, the combat feels even more janky. My combo's would randomly drop, no Zburst dash, and my benched characters getting nearly no health back kinda killed my love for the game. I think at one point I just said outloud, "This game is trash now"
@alwuhugaming true, I won't uninstall just yet. I've been playing Android 16 on your suggestion, and I have to admit, he throws hands pretty damn well.
I didn't record the first match (I won) between me and my opponent because I wasn't planning on making a video, but once I seen his playstyle I started recording haha.
Here are some tips to deal with this:
1) Choose high DP characters of course
2) instant transmission can close the distance, but if they get a super counter off they can still knock you back and continue turtling for skill points
3) Like I said in the video, use instant spark... but that means you have 15s to capitalize and if they're smart they'll just stall and/or switch characters
Not having a high DP character made playing around this very difficult and even if I did have a high DP character, it's still like 5x as difficult to engage than it is for the opponent to disengage
Let me know if you know more counter plays.
That glitch is messed up. You should try Rivals in the mean time.

I doubt the devs are good at the game. I know for sure the dash gets most new players as they can’t counter it.
Probably was nerfed for that reason.
@@ernimuja6991I was also thinking the new or passive type players were the ones encorageing the z burst change. Idk, but damn I dont like it, I hate having to creepy slowly in :/
It made all the other things they were trying to nerf stronger
@@prizeinside if that's the reason it should only be for the characters that have instant spark. My krillin is getting canonically whooped now 😭
I had this comment as a reply to another comment in one of your previous videos, but I'll put it here because it's important:
The win condition is NOT based on damage, but on the remaining HP % your team has left compared to your total, before the patch it was the raw HP value.
Bella spura non pensavo di trovarti sotto un video di al
In the tutorial the game states that if the opponents have the same amount of hp the winner is the one who gave the first hit in the match, so it's not random. I checked this again after the update and it still says that the winner is the one with the most hp (which is wrong in the current state). I'm not sure this was in bt3 but it's possibile since every time you gave the first hit in that game it was highlighted with the message "first hit!" (just like "counter" and other stuff).
thank you this is very good info!
Wow! This is great information. The DBS community appreciates your dedication to research and sharing your findings!
Broccoli and cheese go hand in hand
Delicious
This guy gets it 😂
I'm really hoping people catch onto the passive cheese that's developing sooner rather than later and pressure the devs to reverse the z burst change
Bro the game is far from passive I have proof from these two days worth of gameplay well I play singles so maybe it’s different
That's not how you get the devs to respond, your making the freakin experience unenjoyable with this dumb mind set of yours
@@TheGodlyGamerMugenI agree I haven’t had a single passive game since the patch. Every game I’ve had has been more boxing and more exciting than ever
No one, not a single soul, not even somebody that just got hit by a z-burst:
Devs: "Hey, lets nerf z-burst 🙂"
The cheese has been reaching singles too. Regen characters are being used more since you can’t z burst them and revenge counters are totally useless
Interesting changes, we’ll slowly learn it
Cheese is not gone. There is just a dairy shortage right now.
We gotta stop calling everything cheese tbh. People are too afraid of using z dash but will waste 3 ki bars shooting ki blasts take the risk sometimes
For real the main issue with catching people is the fact combos randomly drop now like 60% of the time for 0 reason
Old Z burst - I wouldn’t want it to give you a free reset and I also don’t want people to mash perception for free
Z burst dash is one of the main things that allowed me to beat people with a Saibaman
One thing I’ve been using to shorten the distance is ki blast into character change. If you connect with your ki blasts, the character change will combo and the new character will spawn next to the opponent
@@FILOTV yeah I’ve been doing that too but it can be hit or miss and can suck if your characters ki blast isn’t the best or if you need the character you currently have in
Lol, idk why anyone would think cheese just dissappears. As long as video games exists, cheese will as well.
Bro go play with capsules on and you’ll have the ability to use x burst for less ki
@@TheGodlyGamerMugenyeah, that's one small ability you can get versus all the s*** that your opponent is going to have on. I think playing with capsules has its value but people that are complaining want to play in a more competitive setting? Not one that lets people choose how the game is played
@@TheGodlyGamerMugen items on is a spam fest they should take god ki out imo
This game has two main problems. The cheese players and the Tenkaichi players that couldn't get over the Tenkaichi mechanics
Accurate description of the current state, and they all DB fans 😅
Exactly. I'm so sick of hearing about how this isn't like the other games
Bro, Brolly came out FULL HEALTH glitched at 14:33, that's why you lost, I guess they ignored all the damage you done to him during the match.
happened w/ teen gohan too
When you play a cell every time you transform you get a 1 health bar and full ki
We all knew the cheese would emerge again
Characters With Super Armor like Broly and Giants can be staggered with charged ki blast now
In complete honesty this cheese is 100x less annoying than unblockable giant spam and afterimage strike spam.
But a Z rank beat me
@@alwuhugamingoh instant transmission is also a perfect counter to this
This playstyle is why I go into dp with high dp characters I think 2-3 man teams are the way
I’m thinking tht too now
100% because after this new patch it’s a lot harder to counter passiveness with low DP characters and relying on switch mechanics and timeouts.
I feel like I went out of topic there but either way, lets see how stuff develops.
at first i didn’t understand the title and thought this was gonna be a video of you analyzing edible cheese

Im surprised he didn’t notice broly and gohan coming in at full hp after they were red, thats why he lost that second game to a fucking bug

They really need to bring the Z burst back to counter this. I get they want you to use a regular dragon dash but that is a way less effective way to get back into play. Unless someone discovers otherwise.
High speed dragon dashing is very easy to disengage from as well
I Somewhat agree but I don’t think giving people a free reset over and over is OK
Nah they should just bring the health recovered down.

@@schiffer2258well I agree with most your points. I don't think it's fair to be mean to the game developers. They're probably doing everything they can. Idk if you know but when your character glows when doing a combo, it means that u can do a fast full charged attack
Father Alwuhu keep the videos going!🔥
But the fact people use your inability to rush them down frequently just highlights the issue the nerf created.
broly getting downed by cell jr soothes my soul thank you al.
Bro you literally could pick characters with instant transmission to get close, (when you knock back ppl it actually puts you in a spot to start a combo again )
wild sense so you can than boost at them and engage the fight (literally makes it safe 75% of the time to be aggressive)
Full power to always be up in Ki to do your dash
Smashed KI stagger broly now
When you do the new dash it barely takes any ki so you can do it a lot and cancel it At any moment while moving any direction
And who cares if you use two Ki bars.. the vanishes wars are so different now that’s it not even about Ki advantage
The combos drop bc you ain’t pushing the buttons fast enough (any slight delay will make it register as a heavy attack) (same with tapping the triangle but to shoot Ki.. the faster you tap the more come out)
2 skill points to get close with instant transmission isn’t worth it especially if you get super countered right away. Same issue with z burst dashing and even worse.
The new dash closes distance but that doesn’t mean they can’t just disengage lol. It’s very easy to just back up. Not to mention the new dash is extremely easy to punish.
Smashed ki blasts stagger people with super armor yeah but it doesn’t matter if they charge ki so quickly to the point where they’re at full ki gauge by the time I’m done charging it
I already said in the video that I was trying to do a trunks spotlight. I shouldn’t NEED to use characters that have instant transmission and full power charge just to compete against others. Z burst dash was a great mechanic that EVERY character had
The combos drop because of an exploit people do with vanishing assault, so you’re wrong and you can literally look at my inputs as my combos drop
Who cares if I use two ki bars? The vanishing wars taking more ki makes it even more important that I have ki lol. It means that if I have 3 ki bars and try to close distance with 2 ki bars with a z burst dash, then I’d only get 2 vanishes in the vanish war which is easily beatable
Whatever you said has no logic behind it and clearly it seems you have not faced someone doing this to you
@ bro I play the game constantly and watch all of your videos including streams.. so it’s all love
But yeah your fav character is gohan (so I used full power bc that’s specifically for you) meaning that will be something you do almost every game (so what’s the problem)
Instant transmission than move up and you locked off( and being a 2 skills move makes it much easier to use.. you will see and say it’s meta very soon)
The combos drop bc of a exploit that was literally just told to you in this comment section (have you tested that) (and have you tested what I said about the input) but anyway if it’s a glitch than that shouldn’t even be a problem (it will be fixed)
The DP system is also a glitch so why are we even acting like the win condition are different when the whole thing is glitched(it will be fixed in a patch and you will be making another video for me to watch on it how it really works)
The ki charge is faster? Felt slow to me(everything feels slower, but maybe that’s just me)
If you are worried about using 2 ki bars, use to 2. stock/skill bars instead..
@@alwuhugaming if instant transmission would only use one skill point, that would be insanely broken I think
I shall check out why my mic is so bad. Thanks for letting me know
Testing out new characters for a new team and I might use super buu to transform to BuuHan. He had afterimage and high tension that gives 2 key bars, good damage too.
Does kamiccolo have a place in this new meta?
Yes, false courage + charge is very strong
5:06
YES I’VE NOTICED THIS A LOT
when I step, especially after a dash and do an attack, I often find my character is attacking in the wrong direction and the enemy gets free back shots even when I’ve correctly interpreted and responded to their attack with the sidestep
Combos also seem to drop much more often and input much more often feel fully “missed”
IF I DONT WHO WILL
What’s your thoughts on the update now, I’ve come to like it
Just need figure out a better engagement tool if they’re gonna keep z burst dashing as 2 ki bars. High speed dragon dashing isn’t going to do it because it’s easy to just back away
@ yea the new movment is too slow still , shouldn’t have even added it
bruh i got in a game it may just be me but at the start connection was fine then as im cooking him i get like delay and everything feels like its hitting 5 secs after i hit a button. idk if its the guy at the other end but i may have to put this game down
Bro I literally ran into this earlier and wanted to tear my hair out 😂 it’s really bad if you go against someone like Kefla or anyone with good ki blasts/fast charge time. They can just sit back, charge, and then punish u with supers if you try to approach 🤦♂️
A good counter I’ve been using: dash up to close range with the new speed dash. Then immediately hit the square + X back shot vanish attack. Then proceed into a combo
How do u do the vanish attack so you can get into a combo instead of just sending them flying back
@@Thewindyfanwhen I think about it, I think my enemies usually block the attack. Then I’m close enough to start doing combos, side steps etc. also instant transmission is an easier way to counter this cheese if you have an instant transmission character on your team. Is the combo dropping a bug you’ll be pressing square(x in your case) and the character stops short of the combo
Yes, happens very often and happens in specific instances
I said this yesterday in chat. Having z broly is cheese cuz he can just stay back and then transform which eliminates long range cuz he’s immune and then eliminate all ur small characters 😢

@ you know what they say about assuming.
I’m making a joke.

Every content creator be like “THEY FIXED SPARKING ZERO” lol
@alwuhugaming only the people who don't know how to throw hands think sparking is fixed fr.
Lower ranked players are having a hayday.
If u have friends the game is amazing , one of rhe most fun ive had with games in years
The cheese factory is open for business once more 🙏
Since the update iv saved Dragon burst dashing for sparking mode and either float towards them with a few Ki blast or I use the new dash mechanic after a charged Ki blast then go from there.
I really like your ability to find ways to combat different ways of fighting. Could you do a video for xenoverse 2. I wanna figute out how to combat infinite combos.
I’ve never played Xenoverse 2 haha
Cool that fusing characters mid fight might be viable now
It definitely feels like a different game, i was playing singles in a lobby and its like everyone basically played the same. Everyone started the match just backing up, ill fly towatd them, they keep moving back. Even the movement feels different to me. But ill adapt, the game is still fun throwing hands. Also is it certain that it determines winner by damage dealt in DP battles?
That gut punch combo is insane
I haven't seen that cheese yet. I just rush even better now. Literally, don't let them breathe. Easy as that.
For the love of akira, can someone explain to me how does the timeout winning works? Thank you
How many times have you lost ? What is your win percentage?
Since the update I feel like 3 man teams are the new meta I’ve been winning against people who use 5 man’s with three man’s by just maintaining my 3 high DP characters and since they’re all high DP whenever I do go for aggressive plays I’m heavily rewarded and end up outputting way more damage and am even able to finish characters more now than I ever have in the last version of the game
DID YOU REALLY JUST LOSE 520 POINTS!!!?? After winning only 85!? Wtf?? I wouldn't DARE to play with the glitch going on. Wow.
Yeah I’m a very very high rank and losing a game causes me to lose A LOT of
Oh, yesterday i was S3, play against a cheese Z rank, and I lost 402 point, ME BEING LOWER RANK, wtf is this bs
I said this many times, even with the patches, cheese will always exist. Y'all gonna keep blaming devs for how people choose to play the game. Ranked is and will forever be toxic.
Cheese will always exist but the cheese in this game feels like it got a 10x zenkai boost
2 drinks on one team?? my thirst is finally quenched 😁just need that gt goku now 🙏
Ranked single battles are so much less stressful man.
Explosive wave costs 2 skills stock tho so that wouldn't really work
The skill one yes. But some characters have the super like Caulifa, Kale ssj, and base Z Broly. So they can charge ki and go into sparking and use the super if you were to try and dragon dash.
@@fernaSkid oh that one yea your right its happened to me
if they just undo the ki cost nerf to the burst dash behind them, i think the game is in a pretty good state. ik a lot of people hated vanish wars too but i thought it was at least skill based w like ki management/positioning/ability to supercounter, not to mention i think vanish wars made sense and were cool for an anime/dragonball fighter
I cant play the game anymore.. My smash attack suddenly appears in my combos without me holding the button. I hope they fix it fast, cause it's unplayable
@@NoCagoDesde yeah when your character glows, the attack becomes super sensitive to being charged haha
What's your favorite type of cheese? I love me a good sharp cheddar.
Mozzarella is always good stuff
They should just revert Z burst cost and increase super counter cooldown, the meta resulting from that would surely be better than this, and if backshots get too annoying, then make revenge counter work on them.
I think instant transmission is a good counter to this distancing tactic

WE ALMOST GOT THERE, ALMOST
Long range meta is evolving
Long range meta too crazy
That stall sucks... thx for the vidéo again !
Can we have a "Super Janemba" spotlight ? ~
Yessir. I can try and work on that
Iirc one of the complaints in the giant Doc from past BT3 players was the lack of down time.
No much
Yeah I saw all these issues arising from a mile away when I read the patch notes lol. Z burst dashing is what countered so many of the metas.
Post 13 for my teen Goku. I’ve been sticking more with singles these days. Now it’s a little more fun without all the insta sparking and ultimate nerfs
guys if you wanna have fun pick majin vegeta a 4/5 cost that goes to at least 7dp and any filler you like or if youre feeling like the goat you can just lock in majin vegeta plus an 8cost 👍
you then throw hands until you figure out the opponents playstyle and if theyre cheesing you can just blow yourself up to save the wasted time because theyd probably just ragequit on you if u were about to win anyways.
been a fun strat for me at least hate being stuck in long ass matches against toxic players especially when they either quit out or dont run the set, with this you can choose who deserves to fight you, and at least imo majin vegeta is by far the best vegeta in this game and his moveset is very fun to play with.
lmk if u try it out curious to see if anyone else thinks this is good because for me dp mode is way more fun than single but most of the time its tooo damn long and cheesy and i end up feeling really burnt out after just a few matches

It's not damage it's the percentage of total health lost after heals that determines the winner 😅
I don't know if you noticed in the second match both you and him had HP fully replenished once you switch out the characters. Has to be a glitch since I noticed happening in my games as well.

15:31 that was me all day today 😭 took a break and went to the gym
Did they get rid of trunks' vanish dodge?
All fighting games have troll tactics. But the issue with 3d arena fighter like Sparking Zero is that they are easy to get into so it doesn't keep away the trolls that are just there to ragebait serious player.
BT3 came at a time where couch play with friends was the trend so there was no room for troll. People had to behave and play the game as it was intended.
Not being able to use dragon dash is killing me 🤧
I’m not sure if it was a glitch but yesterday whenever I broke someones guard with a charged smash attack, I got punished when trying to do a rush chain. It was like breaking their guard gave me negative frames. It was frustrating.
I played a bit last night, and honestly, the combat feels even more janky. My combo's would randomly drop, no Zburst dash, and my benched characters getting nearly no health back kinda killed my love for the game. I think at one point I just said outloud, "This game is trash now"
It’s very different for sure. I think there’s still fun in it, just gotta learn
@alwuhugaming true, I won't uninstall just yet. I've been playing Android 16 on your suggestion, and I have to admit, he throws hands pretty damn well.
