Nice!
How could I get this guitar tone.. is there any advice?
@@nitinmariumcusman100 yes there is. If you have a PodGo or Helix or Kemper you can get a simple pack that contain his patches, then you can build around that tone.
can't wrap my head around how underrated Marco is
absolutely agree ! Marco deserves tons of spotlight -
So true.
He's not underrated. He played for Labrie and that's uber badass.
@@MarianBuraga i'm aware who he plays with but is underrated regardless of that fact. not many people know him although he's highly active in the scene.
He's not alone tho. Loads of excellent musicians fly below the radar. But thanks to the internet we can at least know they exist.
Damn, why isn't this wonderful track not on Spotify??
A lot of guitarist wanna Shred and forget that people want to feel a melodic more than something that fast. It’s okay that technic is make look professional .Marco can put technic with feel . For me He is on another level.
Melodic shred is a thing. Marco is a master at it ;)
Marco is more melodic and can shred better than ppl who think they can shred.
Yeah, I feel some emotion & feeling in his playing, very nice.
Best phrasing i've heard.
So much soul. He's incredible.
Yeap. My kind of jam! Love it.. Well done Marco, well done JTC.
No. 1 melodic guitarist 🌍
His technique is spot on as well
ibanez tone or charvel tone??prefer
Charvel
@@biakzualavangchhia4335 60/40..
my idol since he played "andromeda".. So inspiring man
from minute 1:10 to 1:51 guitar solo fills the soul is incredible
The best rock guitar solo I've ever heard. Marco's tone, feels, melody, passion, everything is perfect.
This is insane good 👏👏👏🔥
Why is this not on Spotify ? 😪😥☺️
Man, ever since I first heard Slightly out of reach, this guy... I got no words...
a tone hi fuh cher cher thei em ani, thiam piah lamah😀😁
Kutthlak analh vawng vawng em bawk a
I always notice how GENTLE the guys are that play in this style. "Silent Shredders"? Every note counts tho. They play with a mastery of authority but with ZERO violence.
This Italian play's like he has something to say and not to prove!!! The real deal, wonderful guitarist! Thanks for your upload 👍🙏🐱
Well said👍he really tells a story.
So much soul.
Not one missed string, dodgy bend or wrong note. Just brilliant. Superb playing 👌
For me Marco he is a serious expression guitar player outstanding melodic musician, beneath the surface is one of the best ever composition with lots of feelings I cant express, his philosophy of tone wow awesome,,,,
This is another level of greatness...thank you Marco for existing 🙏🏻❤
Marco’s choice of notes always blew me away!
And that phrasing... Godsent!
Yes his melodies and phrasing are perfection🙏
Beautiful, How does he get that tone, not overly distorted but sounds really really tight.
I asked him about 10 years ago about his recording tone and he was using Mesa boogie then. he basically used the head a cab and a shure 57. I think he said maybe a preamp. i bet he is still just relying on his amp head and cab. just a guess though. his playing is so phenomenal he can make a garbage tone sound good.
@@jared_s2 thanks,
@@jared_s2 No bro, he's playing MezzaBarba amps now for the most of the time as far as I know.
He used to play the Multiamp also ruclips.net/video/CvX0T7VinmQ/видео.html
It’s actually pretty simple. It’s classic combination of stratocaster with neck pu + little overdrive just from amp.
1:10 to 1:15 this lick change everything
edit: for anyone wondering, it's guitar > pedal > mezzabarba trinity, according to the man himself in his Instagram.
man, each tune/tone of you, every single one, is a different travel. even if we spot some familiar phrases, constantly we are gliding on each vibe that your references/riffs/melodic sets bring to us.
since I knew you, my way of seeing music has changed forever.
Mr. Sfogli, thank you for making all of us - specially me - happier human beings and musicians with your music.
It's a pleasure to my ears, Marco is the number 1 guitar influencer
wtf bro, even john mayer can learn something from this guy xd. This is next level melodic, insane!
He can learn A LOT!
Wow, that is pure feeling!!!
My Mount Rushmore - Guthrie govan - Marco sfgoli - Andy Timmons those 3 guys I listen and have been inspired by more so then anyone else on guitar and I’ve listened to them all. But as far as guys who play that have the ability to cut your soul and also heal it with their playing… it’s these 3 guys 100 percent for me
Marco is probably the most underrated and limitlessly talented player.
Insanely poetic! I know I shouldn't cuss but fucking fuck! This is melting my face!!! Everything is gold,
But 1:14 is diamond 💎
Marco man, nothing but love, nothing but love!
Many years ago I heard the solo in "Drained" on James Labrie's solo record and was blown away. Been a massive Marco fan ever since. Truly a Tier 1 guitar player.
Perfect again Marco. My absolute favorite guitarist, buying this master class asap! Love you man, hope I can see you play someday!
I bought the Masterclass and it's exactly what I needed : Marco provides a lot of ideas to improve technically and lyrically my playing, which was stuck on tired pentatonic based licks.
That Italian melody I heard as a teen in Mexico with al those international stars from Italy Marco is the greatest thank you for all the melodies an music 🙏🙏🙏🖤🖤🖤😍😍
Marco always 😊 I would love to know whether, apart from the theme, all the rest is improvised...I would be very curious to know
oh i heard it here thousands of times this year 2021
I love this guitar tone. How could I get this tone? Please kindly advise what kind of gears to get this tone and how to adjust it.
Lovely stuff, reminds me a bit of Shawn Lane's Powers of Ten stuff (Get You Back for example)
Marco is Genius... this song all perfect... perfect playing, phrases, cadence, feeling, the way he plays is... so amazing...
amigo que feeling. timbre lindo
gostoso de escutar👏👏👏👏👏👏
This one really put a smile on my face. Feel so good with this tune. Thanks Marco and JTC for such an amazing work with this. ❤️❤️❤️
Hello maestro Sfogli!!...big fan here, I´m from México :) .... I don´t know if you have the time to answer my questión, I hope you do. or anyone who can help me to solve my questión please.
I was studiying the "melodic cells number #6" from this JTC files, and I found in the 5th bar a natural F note ,which is not a "real" note from the E major scale , also is not a real note for the C#m chord which is playing in that bar... sounds good thoug , So I would like to know the reason about why choosing to play a natural F instead F# ? ,and also what is the meaning of natural F in this particular bar . ¡Thank you!
in fact F isn't in the key of E major but in that particular case is just a quick grace note between two E notes. As long as you don't stay on an F for too long is still fine. Hope this helps!
So beautiful, every note is beating my heart.
tasty - wonderfull playing
damn he just out andy timmons'd andy timmons
The time/feel is so fresh ! 😯 Marco never fails to impress !! Masterful !✨❤️😇
É o que eu sempre digo. A velocidade se consegue treinando agora o feeling não. Parabéns. Lindo feeling.
Marco has hands down one of the best feel and tone i ever heard 🔥
I think I see you why you chose the guitar over drums, you can play over any beat and backing track and make it sound like your life story in one song. Love it man👍🏼
His string manipulation brings every melody he writes to life.
The tone, the phrasing, the technique, the note choice... simply Marco! Always unique!
I know this is technically promotional material but it's also one of the most beautiful pieces of guitar music ever written.
Beautiful!!! What a sense of melody!!!
I fukin love this man
One of the BEST soloers ever! So underrated!
Why underrated ?? Everybody knows he’s a killer guitar player and an amazing songwriter.
The only thing I don't like about this track, is it's too short. This 2:20 track is a masterpiece and I feel like Marco should have just added another 2 minutes before the start of this song. That being said, Beneath the Surface is among my TOP favorite works from Marco.
Oh my God!
This guy is incredible!
Big Marco!!
His My Fav Guitarist Ever😍😍😍😍
What needs someone to practice to play like this? I don't mean scales intervals arpeggios etc. I know all of these already and my technique is quite developed. I can play fast and accurate with different techniques. I'm looking how to go to the next level which will make me a competitive guitarist like all these guys that get comments like they're phenomenal and not humans. Any help?
Marco said once in a interview (if i'm not mistaken) that he was "something around in love" with jazz when younger. kinda obsessed, so he studied jazz as he could and worked to incorporate jazz language on his guitar playing.
that being set, i believe you can start by strengthening your musical theory knowledge, getting into jazz standards and concepts, then going to basic jazz improvisation and phrasing styles (he uses A LOT of bebop licks/approaches in his playing, like, A S**T TON of them, and other styles) and then keep studying in that area.
other thing you can do is look at the approach of guys like Andy Timmons and Steve Lukather. they're players that basically master dynamics and feeling on guitar playing and them phrasing styles are really unique and also major blues/jazz based.
His new charvel signature is amazing, already pre-ordered
Almost brought tears to my eyes.... His playing touches the soul & heart like no other player.... God bless you Marco
Wow, that's refreshing. 🤘🤘🍻🍻👍👍👍
I'm probably listening to that for the 20th time today. It's so cheesy, but in the absolute best way possible 😃
Ammazza!!! A parte il fatto che il suono di questa charvel è pazzesco, Marco sei bravissimo.
Sound guitar so cool😍😍🎸🎸
クラシックギターのようにエレキギター一本だけで バックの音無しに 動画を作ることはできますか? そういう動画も時々ないと本当のエレキギターの魅力は分からないと思っています。

Meraviglioso! Da brividi ❤ Un gusto melodico unico!!!Grande Marco come sempre
Top Ten di tutti i tempi! Marco orgoglio Italiano ! aspettiamo nuovi lavori, Marco !
Great playing and fantastic tone!
Marco has got everything a musician wants! Just so inspiring to watch and listen to❤❤❤
😍😍😍
I think Marco shared his solo preset from his Fractal Audio AxeFx a while ago. …there must have been something wrong with it though, I didnt sound this good with it..😅
lovely groove, energy is awesome....!!! Marco spectacular like always!
The best guitar song I heard in 2021
@JTC Guitar, it would be nice if you guys make just the BT available. buying the masterclass just for the jamtrack makes it around 12x more expensive.
Was expecting a Dream Theater song cover but damn it blew me away
Sweet Pink! Name that Charvel... Scrawburries N' Creme!
Marco....Sensacional!....vc é referencia e inspiração para mim sempre!
Muito obrigado meu irmão!
How is this "101" exactly? This is PhD level of pure awesomeness! Keep it coming.
I'd say the theory behind why what he plays works contextually is the most difficult barrier of entry for "newer" players to wrap their melons around. Most of what is being played can be replicated through practice so that's where these 101's come into play.
@@widexawake_ I agree with your approach on "why what Marco plays works" ..and is a good starting point, but I want to also emphasize the fact that his phrasing is impeccable for this kind of Melodic, fast and artistically demanding style of Music. Which makes things even more interesting and fun for all of us fellow guitarists i guess!
The best 2min in the entire internet right here
One of the best when it come to note choice...feel and melody!!! Love from Pakistan!!
Too nice always listen to his music
Complimenti per questa cover di Andy Timmons...
Wow, melody inspiring.
Very tasty and lots of feel .. melody within the chords .. nice .. and the attitude is honest .. this guy is is cool
1:31 this part is masterpiece.
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏...
What Amp or Processor he's using ? is it the Multiamp?
So good Marco, you are such an inspiration. I love learning your songs 👍
EMG sounds much better than DiMarzio. What do U thing?
The King of Melodic Shred at the moment!
So when you need someone to play on your track to help you make money by having music people actually like, this is the guy.
Where can i find this backin track
Part of the Masterclass!
this guitarist got me to pick up my axe once more after 7 years of not playing he light the fire once more i now play 4 hours a day thank you marco.
Sick playing on a pink Charvel nonetheless
0:50 Maybe Tomorrow reference?
creo que nunca he visto tocar también la guitarra
God that tone is incredible!!!
Marco please do a cover on Tony Macalpine-Hundreds And Thousands
“Why cant i be you ?” as Robert Smith would say...
How come Marco Sfogli has so great skills but so little likes?
Hard to unhear Andy Timmons' style in this after telling myself "This sounds a bit like Andy Timmons" .... Marco is just on a different level.
So tasty. So melodic.
