While still a top notch technical player, what sets Lari apart is her ability to build phrases and emotion in her playing. She always gives the listener a great sense of what she is trying to say with her songs. Something all musicians should strive for.

All the tasty smoothness of grand masters like Carlton or Ritenour, with gorgeous, evocative melodies, highly developed - but never overdone - chops, clever hooks, original stylings, and genuine, outpouring charisma and joy. No wonder she's become so popular.

She makes it sing! Like none else!
Lari might be the only guitarist that I could listen to through a whole album. Emotional ballads, gritty rock, jazz and brazilian influences. Such a great writer, and her playing is just unmatched. Probably my favorite player ever.

When you watch most male guitar players, they pull faces like they've got their foot caught in a bear trap! Lari is just soooo chilled and laid-back, with a big beautiful smile like she's telling the world "This is where heaven is, right here" - and she's right!
So, so true ... the rock guitar grimace is, ironically, sometimes laughable in comparison. Keep smiling Lari!

Vinnie is such a classic... i used to see him play in the 80's when he'd start a song with a fresh cigarette and his glasses on... three quarters of the way through, the cigarette would be gone and his glasses would be on the floor and he'd be covered in sweat... epic.
I must say: aside from Lari's enormous talent and incredible skills, NOBODY HAS THIS TONE. Nobody. This brights apart.
That's a beautiful tone and she wields it with enviable control.
I just discovered this woman and I'm blown away. So much emotion and passion in her music and her presence. So inspring. What an incredibly talented person! I'm a fan.

I used to play when I was a teenager. But life happened and I hadn't picked up a guitar for decades. I'm past 40 now and i held one for the first time since then. And this is the first song i learnt.
