Only good on-platform Discovery or built-in Recommendations mechanics can worth this, imho.

10% is a lot. But it can make sense in some cases, however I think it's not a good decision for most creators in the long run.
The #1 example is a beginner that don't have money to spend: paying 10% at the start will mean a few dollars only if they generate money. It's a win-win for this creator.
