Update 1: Vibes between 5000 and 6000 RPM: The 2nd service was completed on 20 December 2024 and unfortunately the vibes still remain
    47:47
Update 2: Suzuki has called and asked us to replace the rear tyre as part of the recall. This has now been done. The life on the stock rear tyre is approximately 8,000 kms.
    36:56
Update 3: The second service at 7,000 kms cost approximately Rs. 13,500 which included change of rear brake pads.

Today, I just rode the DE and TA. First of all, I rode the TA. It had a lenient power delivery, and when you drive it, it feels like a breeze. After that, I rode the DE... oh man, the power delivery is insane! It's like a bullet train on the road. But the TA's weight is more manageable, whereas the DE is quite heavy. The points he mentioned are exactly on point and very accurate. Hats off to the content.❤
For power, the DE is my choice, but I hate the DE for the height of the seats, the lack of showrooms, and service maintenance. On the other hand, for power, I don’t like the TA, but I like the height of the seats, the numerous BigWing showrooms, and the service maintenance.
We need to consider one thing: the TA has more BigWing showrooms in every small city, and recently I heard that all BigWing showrooms are capable of servicing and maintaining the TA and other categories as well.
In Suzuki showrooms, the lineup is limited, and they are only found in major cities. For example, I’m from Kerala, and Kochi, TVM, and Calicut are the main service centers. As per information from Suzuki Kerala, only 1 or 2 bikes are invoiced at a time. Considering the facts, spare parts often take a long time to arrive. On the other hand, Honda has more invoices. TA riders claim they’re getting a mileage of 25 km/l on highways and around 20 km/l in city rides. As for Suzuki, we need to wait for a clearer answer.

When i calculated the V-Strom 800DE actual weight
    Saree Guard - 2kg
    frame around engine - 2.35kg
    Plastic Bash Plate - 400gm
    front Adjustable suspension - 1kg
    rear suspension - 0.6kg
    hand guard - 0.5kg
    Quickshifter - 200-300gm
    Radiator Guard - 300gm
    Extra 3L fuel Tank - 2.25kg (kerb)
So 220kg without all of this which is okey and if you load Transalp with its official accessory it will be comparable to Vstrom so no issue in this regards.
