You are so right about oiling the ends. I use JBCO and it is a game changer as far as SSKs go. I only have to do it twice a week because castor oil is very thick and it lasts. I agree with you about trimming as well. As long as you're using safe hair practices inside and out, trimming is not necessary unless absolutely needed. I also use satin bonnets and satin pillowcases. Great video.
My hair grows at the same rate across but my crown has trouble retaining length. It sucks because my hair could be longer but to get the shape I like I have to cut from the bottom alllll the time! This year I'm really trying to tackle how can I retain more length at the crown area.
