I have both those watches as well as the PRW-3400, PRW-6800 and I have to say for the screen display I always go for the PRW-2500. All are great watches but I like everything on the screen and it has a moon phase for my photographing hobby. The only thing the 2500 is missing is sunrise/sunset feature like the PRW-3400, by the way great video and review.

The PRW 2500 was and still is the best Pro Trek they ever made. Had lots of them but always sold them and kept my PRW 2500 . And negative displays will never get on my wrist! They just won't cut it for me!
The prw 2500 is somehow the only protrek that shows barometric pressure data, moon phase, tides, and the time on the main screen. To me that is what makes that watch the best they have ever made.

I think the latest G Shock Gulfmaster also had all these features in one watch. It's very rare, usually Casio always leaves out one of those functions.
Does he know that the PRW2500 is a bit of a collectors item and that it’s quite rare to find a completely new one? 🤔 If you have a mint one now you can sell it for more than what they cost new. Specially the ones with a titanium strap.
My 3510y is perfect for what I use it for. Despite being negative display it is perfectly legible thanks to the stn display you mentioned. I use the tracking function a lot. Mine is about 5 years old, no problems with the strap. My buckle feels solid, I can't flex it, perhaps they've changed. There's no multi band reception where I live yet it keeps time + or -
Without on wrist health monitoring features those ABC watches are useless. That's why I dropped my GWG 1000. And exchanged for Huawei Gt3Pro which does much more having ABC plus ECG plus 24/7 health monitoring being smartwatch at the same time capable for diving the same time with titanium, sapphire glass and ceramics used in construction. Can operate without smartphone and has 14d battery. So, even I had a protrek years ago , now I see how obsolete those are. Without health monitoring they will go down no matter what
comparing apples to oranges. These are two different kinds of watches. There's a HUGE cost, toughness, battery and style difference. You should be comparing the Huawei to a Samsung galaxy watch or maybe a Garmin fenix.

The PRW 2500 is amazing....no issues over 10 years....shows everything on one screen....no issues with solar, battery and ABC is always spot on

Where did you buy the 2500 new?

I just got the 3510 with negative display and looks really good, and you can see it very clearly. No issues at all.
