Thank you so much! The bags are not worth the price. They haven’t been for a while now. It’s a shame as they are alienating loyal customers. If they are trying to emulate the Hermes marketing strategy then the quality needs to be addressed.
My mum and I got our Chanel at the shoppes ages ago, she a Jumbo and I a Le Boy. They’re both 5 times the price they were. It is sheer madness I could not endorse if I tried!

YSL has been my favourite brand for the past 3 years and I have few pieces. They too, did price increases quite intensely. The bags I own now have increased 20-30% since 2020. I am hoping they won't be like Chanel (becoming beyond reach).

I’m right there with you; Dior is pricey too but their luxury experience is the real deal. Yes it’s funny how everyone’s prices suddenly look so reasonable. That’s exactly it! It’s now an easy decision! Chanel is no longer attractive to me. Mulberry is really good. I too am picky with all purchases even if it’s for a bag which I don’t need to be as precious with. I still need to really love it. I absolutely love the mini Alexa. Would highly recommend mulberry.
This new price is absolutely ridiculous !!! If only ppl cud boycott Chanel like balenciaga. Now I cud sense other luxury brand increasing their price coz usually Chanel is the first to start and the rest follows 😢

Yes agreed. I didn’t talk about pre loved as I don’t have any first hand knowledge of buying preloved but definitely it would be an option if you want to stay with a Chanel bag. X
Large LouLou is usually online but not always in store. Its size is more like the the Maxi CF. But biggest SL Lou PUFFER is the medium; almost the same size as above.

I got a Mulberry large Darley shoulder bag a couple years ago as an alternative to the Chanel Jumbo, very happy with it especially as it was in the sale(discontinued now). I have a medium classic flap purchased in March 2015 for the princely sum of £3075, I recall looking at the jumbo which at that time was £3450. Long story short, I could not justify nearly £10k on that type of a bag. Happier to spend on holidays, family experiences etc. Great alternatives though 😊
I absolutely agree with the Dior Caro!! I just received the medium Caro- the denim one- oh my gosh. I love it. It is on par with my medium Chanel classic flap. A leather Caro is next on my list.

Great video, rather than just complain about the frankly outrageous prices of the classic flaps, you suggest practical alternatives. Part of me wishes I'd bought one before they went way above my price upper limit but the weight always put me off as I have weedy shoulders. I love my YSL medium envelope. Same leather as the college, quilting and a beautifully shiny chain strap. I've never considered the Caro but I've just had a look and there are some absolutely beautiful colours and the large looks a really great size. LOVE your red lipstick BTW.

The Aspinal of London large Lottie bag in quilted leather is an excellent alternative to the classic flap...and it costs around £650 x

The leather is really nice on it. The chain is light and it disconnected itself when I was at mall. I mean it fell to the ground.
If you could return the PMEW Monoglam, would you ? Do you regret the purchase due to its prices vs quality and resale may be difficult ?
No I love it. I never buy a bag to sell so I know I would lose money if I tried to sell etc.
