My problem with peak designs bags (of which I own/owned 4 or 5 before coming to this realization) is that they just never do quick access well. The messenger is the best implementation of a quick access for the keys I’ve seen so far but even then when you have a 13L messenger bag why not get a backpack? It’s more ergonomic, fits gear more comfortably and likely has better options for your quick access. If I want to grab my wallet quickly in this it’s a pain or I’d also love a quick access spot for glasses or AirPods. etc. PD is genius for making a nice, flashy camera hauler but most of the time once you have your camera gear plus other things plus an iPad et al you get to this place in the bag where grabbing those items quickly gets cumbersome. I switched over to an Evergoods backpack with their great Cap2 to hold my camera body and a lens and a peak design camera cube for extra lenses and gear and it works wonders. Still have great quick access options, tons of extra space purpose built for quick laptop access and a harness system that is heaps better for my back on a full day carry.
This ”upgrade” is a distaster if you compare it to previous iteration. This lacks many pockets it previously had - like the genious phone pocket - and the ones they left are much smaller. Front pocket is a joke now, it used to be at least two times bigger, if not more. Also quick access zipper from the top has been removed completely. Laptop pocket in the back used to be accessable without opening the rest of the bag. This is definitely the worst ”upgrade” any camera bag has ever had. Avoid at all costs.

Not at all. Hopefully they will address this and update in next version. 10L Sling might be a better option. Review of that coming soon.
