Why is it written off and not returned to the owner especially if it is in near mint condition?
@Jsv_1021O4 just get a fueltech delete the oem engine control. Then you can actually tune it and don't need to have all the stuff the oem ecu needs to operate. Basically any aftermarket ecu will work and can run the engine better than dodges ecu

Problem is that Copart be asking retail for a salvage title TRX which is just as criminal as both the dealership price, and the theft on the street. So there's 3 robberies happening.

You’d be better off dropping a big block or heavily tuned small block v8 into an older truck. It would be cheaper and you could make the same amount of HP or more. Or you could pay a shop to do the work. Either way, it’s 10s of thousands of dollars cheaper and it would probably be more enjoyable. I personally would enjoy it more. And that way you could manual swap it. All fast vehicles should be stick shift.

Owner took it off to make it lighter and try to one ip the trackhawk but even that aint work, so he had somebody steal it for insurance purposes and now he has a trackhawk. Alls well that ends well

There’s a lot of R titles being given out the cars with nothing wrong these days. Especially in Maryland. Don’t know wtf is going on.
They total of theft cars because for example let's say they smoked weed in the car and it got into the ventilation system they can't give the vehicle back because they can't restore the previous condition

Cars are deemed salvaged even with the smallest fender bender. Both my last 2 Camaros were from the copart auctions and they still had the new cars smell. Only thing they had was a busted bumper. Everything else was new lol

Well, you'd be wrong because Ram has the most inventory available out of all of the automobile manufacturers. Toyota has the fewest approximately one month worth of inventory compared to Ram, which has over 200 and something days worth of inventory. Every month goes by, they're piling up vehicles
There needs to be a class action lawsuit against Dodge and Chevrolet regarding how often 6th gen Camaros, Challengers and Chargers get stolen.

What it is, when the truck detects a OBD, that isn’t mopar specified to breach certain codes or by pass the electric ignition switch. Once failed the vehicle factory resets.
Never buy a stolen vehicle. Gotta buy a pcm, key/fob alot of times. Sometimes theres other electrical issues that need rewiring. One car all you need is a good scanner, the next car you can be at -1-10k on bc next thing you know you put in 2k to fix the stolen issues and the trans or engine is bad even though the oil/fluod smells good.

That’s a nice color for that truck. Wish I get myself one like that but these trucks cost about 100K and with the markup prices that these dealers make, they are the real thieves.
If you buy a stolen car off a salvage yard how to do you register it?
It was broken into and it was attempted to get stolen but let’s say the car makes it out of your driveway so you call the cops and your insurance agency. So there’s a police report . And now your insurance company has to pay for your car to be inspected and fixed to be as good as new. That’s a lot of work to take apart and put those engines those engines back together make sure they run like brand cost and labor windows computer systems so they don’t wanna pay that so they offer you the depreciation value of the auto. You probably accept because you don’t want your to try and get stolen again and be taxed through the roof for insurance. Or the insurance will offer you a lot less money and say you keep the car and pay for your own repairs out of pocket as well as drop you from there insurance it’s up to you. Oh yeah and since they brought your car from you they own it and sell it to another source like in this video the insurance company sold it off to that auction place
I had a 2010 Chevy Cobalt get hit by a drunk driver in 2018. My insurance company considered the car to be totaled because the repairs were going to be more than the Kelly Blue Book Value so they gave $4500 for it. Or the other option was like $2000 dollars and I can do my own repairs with that 2k and register it as Salvage. I took the $4500 and the insurance company dropped me as a client. And I started looking for another used car.

That could be a ZAutomotive TaZer or ZAutomotive BurnBox with a double bypass in the OBDII port- I have one and it looks identical minus the cable. They’re pretty expensive and useful asf and if it has one that’s a good find- but it needs to be unmarried if you want to sell it (it’s permanently paired with the car it’s used in until you decide otherwise)
