- Classic Game Room reviews the Cabela's TOP SHOT ELITE assault rifle gun accessory for Playstation 3 PS3 with the wireless sensor bar. The Top Shot Elite is a "light gun" style gun peripheral for video games like Cabela's North American Adventures and Cabela's Dangerous Hunts 2011. It comes with a wireless sensor bar for PS3 and Xbox 360, the Nintendo Wii version works with the Wiimote. From Cabela's and Activision, the Top Shot Elite gun comes with Dangerous Hunts 2011 and works well with PS3 and Xbox 360. The Top Shot Elite and Sensor bar both use two AA batteries (all four included with Cabela's Dangerous Hunts 2011 and Top Shot Elite bundle). Top Shot Elite used in CGR reviews of Cabela's Dangerous Hunts 2011 and Cabela's North American Adventures for PS3 which are both shooting gallery style arcade games and have storyline / adventure modes.

@Wiiman6905 i think it will, it has 2 analog sticks so i dont see why not, but i think its missing the R1 button which on the ps3 is the shooting button for call of duty
@smoakers Yes all of the Top Shot Elite's come with the sensor bar.
I think the red scope is supposed to help aim better (duh), but if you use Hunter Sense, you can look through it and you can see clearly.
He's not lying, he does shoot fire when you're not looking. I saw it myself!
@warchacka Ya Probably. Thats why if you leave the stock off it will be easier to Calibrate! my Tv is big too! You just have to sit pretty far back!
Can this be used on house of the dead ps3 games?
Can I play Ratchet and Clank PS3 titles,GTA 4 and 5 and COD PS3 Titles with this gun.
It looks like a xbox 360 thumb stick and the up, down, left, right buttons too
i think cabela's north american adventures for wii is compatible with the top shot elite too. i saw it at gamestop
i didn't know a hunting game could be so rad. the last one i played was oregon trail (which was just plain EPIC)
I hope this means that more light gun shooting games will come out for the 360, like House of the Dead / Time Crisis / etc
I know those things can work with move, but I don't see how they would with Kinect.

@YoungMoney4280 if you own a playstation controller, you would see it has two analog sticks (one fore your right hand, and one for your left hand). I'm guessing they did that to make it relate to the actual controller more.
Quick question, last year I had saved some money and had gotten a PS3 and PS4. With my PS3 I had gotten Time Crisis Razing Star. I am wondering if this particular light gun will work with other shooter games like Time Crisis and House of the dead overkill?

I have the wii version, the mag actualy comes out on that one. but thats where u put all of the access wire for the nunchuck, its wierd... but a fun game haha

i have it for the 360 but every time i aim whit the gun i have to point at the celling and i have no idea why it does that.

@MrDip02 But the buttons are on the wrong side.
I have a pump action 3.06, it's not that alien.
It's actually quite accurate, good gun, but it's a bastard to put the clip in sometimes.

Go get a Magnavox Odyssey lightgun if you want to hold up a liquor store. That thing looks like a real gun for sure.
somebody can explain me how this works on the xbox 360? because the cabelas big game hunter 2012 top hot elite bundle for xbox 360 includes this gun.
@Gdhinojosa Well since it uses it's own sensor, i'd say yes.
Now my questions are: Is the calibration good enough to ACTUALLY aim trough the gun's sight?
And does it works with european PS3?
does it shoot like a light gun were u can just point and shoot or is it kinda laggy like a wii sensor bar ect.
@kalashnikov96 They were also around before the PSX. Remember the NES Zapper? This is basically a modern evolution of the light guns of yore.
hey bro, for the ps3, does that scope come off? and if it does, can u add it to the sharpshooter? it seems to have the same ridges/connection (whatever *Rabbi men in tights voice) as the sharpshooter. Thanks.

Just looking at the peripheral/controller. I'm going to guess that it's a shotgun...why the hell would you make a shotgun like that? A clip plus a pump-action mechanism, and finally a bloody scope?
the d-pad and analog sticks from this version looks like the ones from the 360
any idea why my top shot eilte, even after calibration, is bouncing all over the screen like crazy. I can't even play cabela big game hunter for wii. When i aim right it goes left. when i aim up it goes down. Please help

Hey, sounds like you have this thing figured out. I have a couple of q's.
1. does this gun sync with the move system (the sales rep at best buy told me it did and the accuracy was greatly increased when incorporated w. the move system)?

i tried this on mw2 and world at war to it make it work somewhat change the button layout to southpaw

@warchacka It will work fine for Xbox its just a bit harder to figure out. You will probably be better off not putting the stock on your gun. It will make it much easier to use! :)

@Rocky374 i seriously doubt that it would work, if it did, might be a bad experience (cool but bad). I have the SharpShooter & by judging the mapping of the buttons, it would be really hard. If u find someone using it, send me that video too.

Is the PS3 Top Shot compatible with PC? Eh, even if it was, it would suck unless you were playing Duck Hunt on NES emulator or some crap.
