Dan, I have been struggling with anxiety for many many years and have been in counseling on and off the entire time. You are already making a big difference for me. You are truly a beautiful soul.
Thank you Dan! I realized that my anxiety was based in fear and anger/rage and that I'd been living in a chronic state of anxiety since about the age of 8. I found realizing I can only control the present moment, forcing myself to feel any/all related emotions, and using gratitude have been huge for me. Your videos and Facebook group have been super helpful. I was anxiety free for a few weeks, and now I only get slight twinges here and there, but it doesn't stay for very long. I know I'm in control of it and so I can make it go away within seconds of feeling it. You have been instrumental in my journey, and I'm forever grateful to you for your wisdom and knowledge you've shared and continue to share!
Thanks for sharing your experience with Anxiety. So many people feel helpless and as you've experienced, you CAN shift your focus and thereby decrease or eliminate the anxiety. The key you pointed out is feeling your emotions and being aware of when you are in this anxious state. Love it! Thrilled I was able to help in some way.
Today I'm trying to get outside it's icy. Scared I'll fall. My anxiety peaked outside full panic attack near to tears. Made myself stay out. Sat in my car, scrolling for daily Dan video and this older one came up. Another spot on. Thanks
Dan, your videos have helped get rid of my pain, but it seems to have jumped to anxiety and most of the time I'm not even sure why I have this anxiety. I'm coming back to your videos to help me again. Your videos bring me a calm. Thank you.
Dan Just found this video and it’s what I needed to hear. Ever since I hurt my back 5 years ago Fear and Anxiety 😦 is my main problem. It’s stops me from healing, sleeping and living life. It creates pain and weird sensations. I now know that meds for sleep and anxiety are not the answer. Thanks 🙏 very much. Lovely sunrise 🌅
Dan , my last lingering symptom is anxiety and you put it in perspective for me !! You also mention that it flares up towards the end of your journey. I am there and it totally makes sense! You help me so much! Mary
This is me right now! I no longer fear the pain & even when it creeps up I laugh it off and go on with my life, but this anxiety feels WORSE. How are you doing?
Anxiety, panic, pain, fatigue.. it’s all the same and requires the same response to retrain the brain and nervous system.. indifference, accepting and allowing, and engaging in normal life!!
What I've noticed with anxiety is that there is different forms. a stressful situation can cause anxiety, anxiety that you create from making movies is another. The one that I have problems with is when anxiety is a symptom. An alarm from the body to let you know something is wrong. A physical alarm reaction. Most of the time that's what kind of anxiety/panic I get is from the body telling me there is alarm. Then I'll react to the reaction with my own anxiety ontop of that. Now I'm at a point that I live with it. I'm now used to the alarm being on. Its uncomfortable but I deal with it. There are days that it turns off. I dont even notice when that happens. Crazy
The anxious feeling that is in the body first can literally be the physical sensation of the stress response and adrenaline and cortisol (stress hormones) in our bloodstream. The best response to anxiety is to breathe. Relax. Anxiety is not another new problem to solve. Many people give themselves anxiety attacks trying to get rid of anxiety.
I recognize this so much!! Often nothing to do with thoughts or events. Sometimes does, though! But often, it's just a very primal and fysical symptom. Just a raw symptom.
I have a history of Anxiety, one of the best video's I have seen thanks. It is definitely future based, I had been anxiety free for years til I got this back and leg pain walking and standing. Being an electrician I am on my feet most the day , every pain kicks the anxiety up then start worrying about my future. Been a year now but every day I push through it.
Hey Martin - check out the video at this website. It tells how pain starts and how it becomes chronic. There's a self assessment you can download to tell if your pain is caused by what I teach in the video. PainFreeYou.com Check it out. You may be able to end your pain.
Thanks Dan I will look , I kept looking into what it was and came up with stenosis which has scared me even more .🙁 only had an xray done which looks ok to me.
@@mplmpl7780 Stenosis is a medical term for pain that they blame on some structural abnormality. The thing is that nobody's body is perfect. We all have many abnormalities and they don't cause pain. Watch the video and do the self assessment. It's likely that your body isn't the problem.
@@PainFreeYou Martin. Do the assessment. I scored 50/50 when I did it earlier today. I'm self employed and have the same anxiety issues to deal with which comes and goes. I'm about 3 weeks into this TMS stuff and all makes sense to me so I'm going into it fully committed. Great videos from Dan have helped me no end. Go in with an open mind. Read Dr Sarnos Healing Back Pain for starters, it's a revelation but you must put in the work.if you want to benefit and fully accept the TMS approach. Atb.
I shared you again. 😁 When I get afraid or anxious, I've found that repeating this phrase while breathing deeply, helps enormously. "All is well in my world" I might tack on "there is nothing to fear," depending bin the circumstance. I was stuck in a slot canyon overnight once, and those words calmed me. I was in a tricky spot, but safe in that moment, I used those words instead of thinking about what would happen IF a flash floods came. You hit the nail on the head, you usually do. Thanks.
Thank you Dan I'm so happy you mentioned the driving part thats when my anxiety hits and trying to tell brain you are safe while in a moving vehicle is hard and the brain is going but you are driving you are not safe that's why when you mentioned the driving it really helped thank you Dan
Dan another great video. Really hit home for me. I have been working on trying to catch or be aware of my thoughts . Not attaching is very hard , doable since I have had times of peace to prove this. Due to some heavy duty personal things going on i feel the anxiety and some old not so nice symptoms. I must say though the symptoms are not as bad and therefore this tells me I am trusting my body more. Perseverance is key and repetition. Thank you so much for all you do you are truly an unselfish person that genuinely wants to help others.
My pain sensations are a direct result of chronic stress. I developed GAD and panic disorder years ago and the physical pain came afterwards. This realization is how I stumbled across TMS.
My experience with anxiety is, it feeds on irrational thoughts and irrational reactions. I get angry on the inside with it (fight) then complete mind shift (flight) . These are the two reactions that anxiety expects and obeys to, for me. The sooner I catch it , the faster it subsidies. No nice and soft approach for me regarding anxiety. When I sit feeling it , it feeds and ripens from my attention and takes ages to go. "Nip it in the bud " for this one !
Just watched this and luved it. I hope I can really do it to heal. But I feel like my case is so complex I developed anxiety 6 years ago when dr said my bp high. Since then I became so obsessed with that causing me to have severe anxiety daily, like tremors and palpitations and fear of going to the dr to check it out. . So on the one hand I probably have these physical symptoms due to anxiety but on the other hand the symptoms are causing me anxiety thinking something’s wrong but I can’t check it out so the anxiety just grows daily. Do you think there’s hope for me? Thanks
Hi Dan, I'm curious what to do when you really do have a reason to be anxious? I made an off the cuff decision without thinking it through and now there are some big repercussions. 😕
Two choices. Judge ourselves and our decision and fret over the repercussions or roll with it knowing that you'll figure it out. Anxiety isn't the problem. It's not a problem to solve. It's a normal part of life.
Hii dan when i have anxiety from some fear I usually feel it and after that i soothe myself cuz i can’t control it does it comes in a feeling process of emotions how to feel your emotions is that a right way or we have to control being anxious
I think having anxiety every day can kill you...because of the high bloodpresser you het from anxiety..and the diabetes later on.... so that's what I think ...but good video Dan
Hi Dan! Gosh the fear and tension is so tough. Is it an idea to make it easier taking extra anti depressants? I have exactly what you say, sometimes the fear comes up in my body out of nowhere!
I don't believe the solution is in a bottle of pills. It's consistent messages of safety. ruclips.net/video/5SsKnAgAvnY/видео.html Obviously, iff the anti-depressants help, take then until you don't need them. But they aren't the solution.
