This woman didn't break any laws. She ran from domestic violence. This happens to alot of women who try to leave this type of situation. You only get a few weeks in those shelters and then you're on your own. This is why so many women go back. This actually happened to me at one point in my life. The help people think is our there, really isn't there.

I'm shocked that a homeless shelter would make a pregnant women leave once her time is up. That is the dumbest rule any shelter could have. You make room for her for as long as it takes. Men at a shelter could hit the road if it comes to that.

The only part of this video that upsets me is the social worker who says blah blah blah resources. Resources dont exist. If they did you wouldn't see a mom and child sleeping on the street. I've been through this. It's the typical situation. You get 6wks in a shelter then they kick you out. Thsts it! The only reason this woman is getting housing help is because of this video and the police officer. The organizations feel they've been put on the spot. Znd if this man didn't do what he did. Cps would be taking the kids not helping the family. That's the solution they give. Take the kids away.

you're right., the only reason she got housing is because they were put on the spot. not only that but she took someone else's spot who the spot rightfully belonged to. those lists for housing are years long. when they placed them, they knocked another family down further on the list.

Beautiful story! What a beautiful young woman and precious girl. I have been a cop in New York for 21 years and I am so very proud of the work that Officer Norman does for the community. I did not know of him until today and I am very pleased that I saw this. God bless that young woman and her two babies and Bless Officer Norman an angel walks amongst us.
It is sad she did not have family or friend to house her temporarily. This officer has a good heart.
Her partner has no heart he does not belong in the human chain I have seen animals with more compassion.
Look after your children by yourself so they can know what it is feel to be happy. Look deep into your partner family history so not to be disappointed most of us don't.
Most victims of real domestic violence have slowly been isolated from friends and family and they make it hard for you to work, basically when it gets to the point where they're beating you, they've already taken everything from you. Abusers also choose people with little family support on purpose. This is a big problem.

Wow im a 35 year old man and I have 5 kids and my last being a baby girl and when officer Norman brought that couple to the hotel room and they were carrying gifts to see that little girl get happy and she had such a beautiful smile on her face, I almost cried lol I had tears going down the side of my face cause i was laying in bed. It breaks my heart when i see kids in situations thats out of their control but they have to ride it out cause they aint got no choice, that just tears me apart inside and if I could help every child on earth i would if i can do what officer Norman did for that lady and her daughter id do it and if I had to give up me being happy to see somebody thats really struggling, believe me when i say I would give up what I have to see them live a happy life ...... I would !!

I cried darn near the whole time watching this story. I remember when I was in the same situation as her and her baby but the only difference was that I had a car. I felt over whelmed with joy knowing she got so much love and support from so many people that didn't even know her. GOD is GOOD.

God bless this officer , he got a good heart. The other day a lady asked me for $ for food while I was near a tacobell .. I had nothing literally nothing I been going through a hard time myself but I had to do something to try and help her so I went to the cashier and explained the situation, God bless that cashier she ordered food for her without thinking it twice. Everyone needs to help eachother out instead harming one another if we dont look out for eachother who will.... Everyone goes through hard times we are no one to judge. God bless.
