This game had such a bittersweet ending and this song amplifies it. Blake went through so much in that one night, saving Lynn just to have her die, realizing that Jessica's death was not his fault, and overcoming his severe guilt. Then comes the final flashback, he sees his last good memory with Jessica again, and in a sense says goodbye to the girl he could never say goodbye to. For such a horrific game, it makes you cry with sadness and happiness in a way. That's why I love Outlast 2

Just finished Outlast today, this game got me on the edge of my seat, and the ending was sweat but tragic. 10/10 game and story,The most mentally difficult content I've watched/played , this exceed being a game, it's a narration . i sobbed during the credit scene.

Murkoff found him breathing. but he has no consciousness. his eyes are damaged by light. why red barrels have to make a sad ending game ?. still a great game.

I didn't really care for Lynne whatsoever, but the Jessica sideplot was one of the most depressing things I've ever seen in gaming. I usually take child murder in games pretty jokingly, but this was actually horrible. It's honestly pretty impressive how the story was only really revealed within a few scenes near the end of the game and managed to create a huge emotional impact for me. I didn't even really like the school sections, but due to Jessica I honestly don't even care for the main story as much now. The game really nailed the feeling of helplessness down extremely well, and while I wish we could have had a better ending, I understand why they went the route they did

this ending is so dark cause there are so many games where the main character experienced of there loved ones dying and at the end of those games they always get over the deaths and finally come to terms with it but in this one its the opposite in the end blake never gets over her death and in the end she litterly says "I'll never let you go and you'll never let me go" not to mention he's in some sort of mental paralysis and if you read the comics you find out blake was captured by murkoff and experimented/tortured like all the inmates in murkoff truly one of the if not the darkest ending in gaming

When you think about it, no one was a real enemy in this game except for Murkoff. From the Blake's point of view sure, the villagers were his enemies but they only behaved like they did because of the radio towers installed by Murkoff. At the very end of the game when you see the villagers dead, i felt a bit of remorse for them knowing they killed themselves for something that doesn't even exist but existed in their minds. Truly a weird experience this game is i must say
