    I love the looks of the charger, though I prefer the model before it, the hood is so much better and I like the meaner headlights. Mine doesn’t break the tires loose though. But probably because it’s awd. :) it almost makes you forget how heavy it’s is too. My biggest complaint is the breaks feel like they aren’t enough though. Also those wheel speed sensors are the best problem you can have, they are cheap and easy to fix. All in all, nice ride! (My wife also takes the keys any chance she gets)

    Great update vid, love that Charger. The dash is something else, there was a car here with something similar around the 90's, mostly nothing but trouble, that interior looks realy comfy though. A lot of off camera hard work going on as for the Corvair, it's a bugger he's backed up but, at keast it's out of the elements.

  • @storyteller1749
    @storyteller1749 3 года назад

    Very nice Olds. Way back in the early 90's I had and 80 something Cutlass GT that I loved. Still regret getting rid of that car when I did. $300 from a guy I worked with. And it was worth easily 3 times that. I can see what you mean about the Charger tho. I was like that with the first 300 that I bought. I'd get on that throttle and probably should have had at least a half dozen speeding tickets with it. Another great episode.

    Not sure I think I just forgot you had that ULTRA COOL Corvair "mini-van". One very cool ride my friend 😎. As for the Police Charger just admit you ain't selling it because its way to awesome. Well thats at about 2 minutes into this video anyway. Late 80s car interiors were so ..... well fugly. BUT that dash cold start on the baby Cutlass I agree was pretty sweet! Not sure what year it was or if it was even a GM option but I for sure saw a Cutlass convertible in that era and I so wanted one!

    • @hullinger
      @hullinger  3 года назад

      😁😁😁 Thanks man for checking in for the Charger vid. I feel like a bad parent leaving the Greenbrier in the garage and busted up. I had planned on making a couple videos on her but the clutch giving out changed that. And yeah, those interior from the '80's, man they're 'unique' for sure. My neighbor had a convert Cutlass when they were new. It was constant issues for him and he loved the look but hated the constant warranty work.

    Your videos are right up there with Scotty Kilmer ("Rev Up Your Engines!") -- which is a compliment of the highest magnitude.
    By the way,, whatever happened to your Tahoe PPV?

      We will have to agree to disagree on Mr. Kilmer and his You Tube work. To many "click bait" titles, to many "flip flop" opinions and to much "import bias". I get that he isn't a fan of North American (Big 3) automotive production but his insanely slanted love of all things not NA, clouds greatly his reviews. He just hates .... and its sad actually because Scottie is not without knowledge and incredible experience but the hatred overpowers his opinions.

      @@goleafsgo8496 -- He is not without a pro-Toyota bias, but overall, his videos are chock full of good information. He doesn't like to see people get ripped off - have to give him props for that.
      His history & technical videos are very informative. I give him an 8 out of 10 overall and he has given some very good advice about good stuff and "junk" products out there.

      If you're out there shopping for a ex police car, the best value is always gonna be the Crown Vic. Those Tahoe's, Caprice's and Chargers are know to have cam and lifter problems and repairing that the correct way leaves you with a $4k repair bill. The Taurus is known for water pump failures and it's a 12 hour repair job. Regardless though, if you can get any of those cars for the right price, making the repairs can be worth the effort. Good luck!

      @@hullinger In reality, an ex police car can be a total money pit. There are exceptions, BUT buyer beware. The Ecoboost Taurus are an absolute blast to drive, but they are a mechanical nightmare. More than just the water pumps. Timing, oil leaks, transfer case, suspension bushings.

      I think you might be spending too much time in the Texas heat my friend! Time to jump into the pond and refresh a bit. As for the South Dakota vid, I haven't forgotten. In fact I was hoping to talk with you about it as I need some help getting it finished. You available to talk on Saturday?
