So, our dream of a Courage/Scooby-Doo crossover finally came true. However, I would like to see the former with The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy. Thankfully, a friend of mine made one and it's still awesome as ever ! Speaking of which, Billy and Mandy creator: Maxwell Atoms was hired to direct this movie. But he rejected it after discovering that John R. Dilworth will not participate in this movie.
I love this series, even though one of the episodes scared me bad enough when I was a kid, that I threw up. I'd love to see him review Beetlejuice the Animated Series next.
There is at least one more animation starring this lovable pink pooch, granted it's a fan animation, but it's freaking awesome, it's the Death Battle episode between Courage and Scooby-Doo
@@thefantasticretroreviewer3941yes well some are different but yeah most of them have the same plot they solve a mystery ,monster is fake ,meddlings kids, the end
I actually met the VA of Courage at an anime convention a while back! I got a picture with him and even got his signature! I use to watch the show at my grandmother place on my mother's side on Cartoon Network!
This is the best honest review for courage the cowardly dog tv show. This is one of my favorite cartoon network shows as well. Happy Halloween to you Mr blockbuster buster too.
Fun fact Paul Schoeffler also played other fan favorite villains (besides Le Quack and Katz) he also played the snowman, freaky Fred, the cajun fox, big toe, and more. Dudes pretty versatile and it’s a shame he hasn’t done much voice work recently.
This show never stops making laugh even as a kid. I remember vividly any time it was on, the most common episodes was the revenge of space chicken and curse of ramses
Ah childhood! I remember watching this whenever it came on. I enjoyed the horror and animation they did. Courage is such a good dog! What a show this was! Great review on it!
Courage was always a lovingly strange series, so many moments always sticking out, from the horror to the warmth. Tower of Dr. Zalost always stands out as one of my favorites.
Personally my favorite courage segment would probably be “perfect” where courage’s insecurities manifest into a really harsh teacher. And as someone who’s struggled with them I relate to it more as an adult than I do as a kid, heck as a kid I didn’t know Eustace and Muriel couldn’t see the teacher.
Nice timing with this video Courage the Cowardly Dog tv show is 25 years old! Loved it on Cartoon Network as horror themed comfort food for kids I agree I lived for this dogs screams and the many villains he faced Ironic his name was courage and he was constantly scared out of his mind with so much anxiety yet still took enough bravery to protect his owners Muriel was the caring, open minded woman while her husband was very nagging and verbally abusive towards the dog being he's jealous of the love and affection It was crazy they even crossed over with Scooby Doo in 2021 even though actress Thea White passed away Amazing that lot of the episodes touched on physical appearance, slavery, domestic abuse of all things even made tributes to Psycho, Exorcist and old Godzilla TOHO films There's actually a house in New Mexico that inspired it An elderly couple and their dog said to have experienced paranormal activity The Pattersons lived in the 50s but disappeared in the 60s Even living the middle of nowhere is peaceful but also creepy depending on the perspective
Courage has done something that Batman in any media has rarely done, confront the man who took his parents away and stopped him from doing the same to others that’s awesome
Great review. I admit I never watched much Courage while it was airing, but I respected it, and what I did see I enjoyed. I have to admit, though, I am a bit surprised that ERod praised that Courage and Scooby-Doo crossover, since he's made it no secret his dislike of the latter in the past. By the way, if you've never seen it, check out the Scooby-Doo vs. Courage episode of Death Battle. The ending is actually very satisfying.
I don't remember the domestics abuse or slavery episodes... but I do remember another episode that wasn't mentioned. a very.... naaauuuggggghhhhtttyyyyyy..... episode.

This series is one of the most emotionally compelling pieces of media ever made.
Happiness, Fear, Sadness, and Madness, all mixed masterfully.
And abusive relationships

I really love the tower of dr zalost, its a really excellent commentary on the topic of depression
This is one of the classic shows I grew up watching
Still remember the parody of the exorcist in courage the cowardly dog where Muriel was possessed by evil spirit.

Happy 25th Anniversary to Courage The Cowardly Dog One of My All Time Favorite Cartoon Network Shows (1999-2024) 😨🐶
Claiming "Ball of Revenge" as one of your favorite episodes is certainly a ballsy choice (no pun intended).
"I hate macaroni and cheese!" killed me
I still remember the incantation that saved Muriel from the mattress.
That incantation should be used in EVERY horror film that has demonic possession
I wanna show my fiancé the quilt episode, which talks about a cult
15:20 Courage did a better Break Dancing Performance the 'Ray-Gun' at the Olympics.

Why didn't you talk about King Ramses Curse? It was one of the scariests episodes of the series.

Do a Legends of Fandom on Batman Unchained, the unproduced sequel to Batman & Robin.
One of the best cartoons CN ever made
He was a good boy, through and through.
One of the best cartoons created.
After this one how about the real ghostbusters cartoon.
I always considered courage the cowardly dog as somewhat a successor to the animated Beetlejuice series.
