As an American, knowing that he comes from the hoods of Bakersfield, and being a landlord in that horrible town...I am proud. To know that this beautiful voice, spirit, love, grace and talent comes from such a place. I listen to him every day and he gives me hope.

Watching this video to refresh my memory of a wonderful concert last night at the Lowry theatre in salford Quays Manchester when Gregory Porter played to a full house who gave him a standing ovation. Great guy.
I just learned about Greg Porter and his band and his music from watching a youtube video from the Monaco Boat show....luckily for me they gave credit to this outstanding musician in the closing credits....now I have a new voice to listen to. I'll be buying his music tommorow...thanks youtube!
