Ich bin von diesem schönen Konzert überwältigt. Selbst schon 63 Jahre alt, habe ich Mick Hucknall als junger Mensch immer bewundert und ich tue es heute noch. Und hier: Was für ein schönes Theater, was für ein tolles Orchester mit all' den schönen Menschen, und das Ballett natürlich nicht zu vergessen. was für ein zugeneigtes Publikum, die, fast schon Evergreens, unvergeßlichen überaus melodischen Songs von Mick. Am Ende war es dann soweit "If you don't know me by now" und meine Tränen rannen. Ich wäre so gerne dabei gewesen. Tausend Dank an Euch alle aus Berlin!

I was working on creating curriculum before the start of the school year ‘21-‘22. Tedious work, but Simply Red lifted my spirits and allowed me to finish. I am so happy to have rediscovered them. Now, I cannot get enough of them.

I am amazed at how the Cuban audience is so respectful. There is no yelling and screaming whistling people up dancing around. Although they did make most of this concert just him singing acapella with a minimum of musical accompaniment. So different from say. which I just watched.. Live at Trafford.... which i just watched. Watched so much of this for so long I can sing most of it by heart. What an awesome band. OK I can see at the end after they crank the music up then people in the audience start dancing...... how could you not??

This guy is like a good wine and the music is timeless. A perfecty arranged and passionated performance in a beautiful location. If you are older than 40 you probably know most of the tracks.

@Naveen Pathak Actually, my children DO know this music as they were in the car with me when all of the Simply Red tracks were being played. So, YES this music actually does transcend generations. It stands up to the test of time for me and my children.
Every word and it's just as good today as it was then...
I'm 39 from Bosnia and I know most of this songs from my childhood, despite war and shit with not having electricity some of these songs hit the charts. Few years ago I found out Mick and I share the birthday and I atribute that to the fact he's one of the few mellow acts I can listen, being into little bit heavier music in my youth. But Symply Red is world known and widely loved band.
This is the epitome of Simply Red's performances. I've been to many and this is the best by far. The choreography in the dance sequences was breath taking.
His songs are timeless and will be sung long after we have gone.🎵🎤🎶🙏
Mick Huckneall was born with a gift. One of the great natural singers of our time. It just rolls out of him so easily. Brilliant control, timing and never a missed key. Fabulous arrangements here, 'Simply' fantasitic.

As a singer and performer, this is a masterclass in every aspect of singing, stage performance, arrangement, sound and video production. I´ve always admired him, but was expecting the usual deterioration of the voice that usually comes with aging. His mastery of his instrument has actually improved. I often spend my evenings (headphones on) listening to music. This is one of the finest concerts I`ve watched. The concert is a masterpiece. God bless you Mick Hucknall.
I echo everything you say. Would you believe me if I told you I sat at 12 pm tonight and started humming a song with 2 words and a few notes I remembered. It bugged me so much that I couldnt remember the artist or more words to search on you tube. I went to something that felt similar and knew it wasnt right. Next thing this was suggested. I was totally amazed that this was exactly what I hummed. Unbelievably exquisite performance. I cant believe his voice is so amazing...the jazz feel the romantic tension..smooth ..i can carry on. This was a special gift to me from the Lord tonight.
The way this concert was filmed was simply cinematic. The lighting, camera angles and the whole performance was fantastic. I only planned on watching one song and ended up watching the whole concert. Just brilliant.

Wow! the acoustics are amazing for this old theater! Everything is perfect, musicians are impeccable and I loved the Cuban flavor added to the songs that set the mood.
This man is pure talent, with the voice of the universe. His real talent is to choose who he works with. Together they become one. There are very few with such ability.

Most were from the "government", the tickets were sold in dollars not in Cuban pesos, few or none were from the ordinary people.
There Are Not dancing on the up tempo songs as well. The audience is just dead.

Thats awesome, I'm 70 and still enjoy listening, I actually got hooked when I was watching MIAMI VICE (back in the day w/Don Johnson) they played a song in one of the episodes which was "Picture Book" and I saw at the end, the credits said music by Simply Red...and bingo I started listening to all his music, and my kids now love him too, and my grandaughter..his music is amazing! Went to 2 of his concerts in Los Angeles. He's a blessing to the music industry. Music is Life

My thoughts exactly! I am Norwegian and as the rest of Europe, we have always had an open relationship with Cuba. I remember this beatiful building, also known as an opera house. Never heard of Simply Red - I am a classical pianist - but as you said: " a decent artist".
We Cubans are music lovers and the creators of many rhythms we appreciated very much when such a fantastic band and his fabulous talented singer visit us and offered to us their marvelous art together with our local musicians and dancers good for all of them and thank you 🙏 very much❤

The meticulous attention to detail is evident; this concert flows seamlessly, with Mick, the chorus, and the band fully at ease. The sound engineer and musical director have everything impeccably managed. The Cuban symphonic orchestra's performance is flawless, and the choreography strikes a balance between pure joy and professionalism. Cuba's musical legacy in the '50s as the crown jewel of the Caribbean wasn't without reason.
